It depends on your trip there.. sometimes there's plenty carts, but sometimes low never as low as Ingles or walmart though. But they have nobody in bakery most of the time I've had to wait for 20 minutes & keep shopping to go back & someone said something aboit me opening ase to get a dessert one day. Most of the time the chicken is over cooked in front so I don't order it. & they don't have as many options on salad bar as they should like great coupons as Ingles &dressings alot better. It's a small salad bar with mostly fruit & cooked items on other side. But there are staff that are awesome but dome that act like they have attitude(really depends on age but that's everywhere, especially at fast food & grocery stores it used to be different when I had a job as a young adult so I just look the other way with rolled eyes etc so it won't bother me. But like I said they have some amazing staff like 1 of the managers he knows us by now & ask how we are &doesn't keep asking me same questions as others do because he says I already know you. I like having a store where at least 1 know me so shopping experience goes better since my health concerns( I have to hurry & stay away from crowded areas &sometimes use a scooter) like if too many in line & around area they helped me check out at self check. So I gave 3 stars instead of 2 but we're also waiting on gas station to leave full review because we have 1000s of points to use let's see how many they'll allow us...
Read moreAs the only grocery store in a 5 mile radius of Gordon county and for being conveniently located right off Interstate 75, Food Lion is...well, just that- convenient. And if you live in the Ranger area, thank your lucky stars that when your pregnant wife wants pickles and ice cream you don't have to drive 20+ miles to Walmart to satisfy her prenatal cravings.
But when compared to the what other markets provide their customers the place feels like Kmart before its demise. Small, limited, like a budget motel. Not that there is anything wrong with budget motels. Food Lion needs to rethink its product placement. Literally most of the food they sell is snack food- chips, crackers, and candy. Sodas are scattered across three different aisles. The crazy thing is their parking lot is built for something 150 cars. Its never more than 2/3 full. And the store itself just isnt big enough, even for the limited selection thwy offer.
Food Lion is a glorified convenient store, minus...
Read moreNeeds to be more pacific on their sales and advertisements. We went today 7/14/22 to buy a couple of the Smithfield pork tenderloins that is advertised for $5.99 on select varieties, the sale paper does not state ANY particular seasoned tenderloin.. we bought 2 of the mesquite seasoned and we were charged $9.99 each. I took the receipt to the girl at self checkout and told her we were over charged and told her they was on sale, she looks at the receipt and tells me that it rung up right and my wife looked at receipt and said no it didn't so she tries explaining it to the girl and even took the girl back to the meats and showed her the Smithfield pork tenderloins and th girl tells my wife that the sale was on all pork tenderloins except the mosqite. If that be so why was it not stated in the sale paper and on the price at the meat cooler? That's false advertising if you ask me. I'm very disappointed in food lions...
