Dollar General — Local services in Calipatria

I used to love shopping at Dollar general in calipatria California. I had no problem spending two or $300 per month at that store, until a new employee decided to pay more attention to my dog in the shopping cart then stocking the shelves like he should. My dog has always rode in the top of the shopping cart since the store opened. I always put a towel under my dog so his butt will not touch the shopping cart. I have never had a problem until this month from the same guy. All I can say is they better lightin up because Walmart, food 4 less and Dollar tree are not far away and those stories allow my dog in. I would normally give this store a higher rating but now that they have hired this new person it is not an enjoyable place to shop. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE I would encourage dog owners to avoid this store

I can understand if my best friend peed and poop up and down your aisles but he doesn't. my best friend and companion sits on a towel on top of the food cart as I select items from your shelves. I have been asked to take my friend out of your store twice in the past 30 days. Every time I put him back in the truck he cries because he has never been rejected from your store in the past. He looks forward to shopping with me at Dollar General. He is an old man now with only about 3 years left of life and I am also an old man of 74 years. Some rules regulations and policies do not apply in all instances. Your new store manager as he claims to be should lighten up.

If it weren't for this store, the desert would of consumed me!!! the staff has always been courteous, helpful, and professional with a touch of class. It's a breath of fresh air, cause I don't know if you've noticed it not... but there sure is allot of nepotism in Imperial county. (Incase you don't know what that means, it means allot of lazy, entitled, bad attitudes, doing less than the least, that a job requires.) I've never had a problem with getting the things I needed, their inventory has more than basic needs covered for variety, and availablity. Oh and you can't whoop the prices with a stick! I'm so grateful for this Dollar General, that if it needed a kidney, I'd give it one of mine. if you've never shopped at this little gem of a store, well I say, don't you think it's time that you did? , This is a nice store with a large selection of items that are convenient for the location rather than driving all the way into El centro you can find most of what you need here they have home goods pillows sheets they have food milk eggs and other stationery items. Check it out if you don't want to drive all the way and tell centro. And also don't go to May's if you are trying to get some simple groceries because Dollar General has a way better price and a way...
