Nice facility, grass hitting area is a major plus. Nick Huff is a great teacher and I highly recommend using him if you’re looking to improve your game.
I’ve seen and hit several rocks lately and ruined the face of my 60° wedge. That, combined with the horribly beat up and destroyed golf balls are not pleasant. It would also be nice if they put more sand back in the bunker and got a ball machine that worked better with credit cards.
Definitely has its issues but overall, it’s nice to have a facility with actual grass in a beautiful setting.
Update 8/29/21 Balls continuing to get worse. I frequent the range 3-5x a week and I’ve watched people take half their bucket and throw it in the trash. That’s how bad the balls are getting. I don’t understand all the logistics and cost factors a range takes on but as you can see from the attached photo below, it doesn’t even look like the balls are getting cleaned...
Read moreReally disappointed with Camas Meadows lately. Grass tees never opened this year. Practice area has been closed for a month or two and before that it was neglected. Went to Heron Lakes yesterday and was blown away by the quality of the practice facilities compared to what we get. Camas needs to redo their short game area to incorporate 50 yd shots, punch holes in the practice green, and actually take care of it. Some technology at the driving range and maybe a second tier would be a huge improvement. Maybe get a rentable simulator in the club house for winter months. We really don’t have anything on this side of the river, shown by the ~$80 greens fees on weekends, would be nice to see some money put back into...
Read moreTo avoid feeling too ripped off, be sure to look at the date of the Google review that you go by. I remember grass tees, a great putting green with generous chipping aprons, and a challenging practice bunker. I would have given it five stars back then. It is now mats only. No putting green, no bunker, no chipping on grass. The "large" bucket is more like what the "small" bucket used to be... and it's 12 bucks -- so plan on 36 bucks for a true "large bucket" of worn out balls. I asked a Camas Meadows employee why it is so run down. His terse explanation: "It is not owned by Green Meadows." I asked "So what do you think is next?" and he said "The range will be shutting down any day now when the west boundary...
