Uptown Skate — Local services in Campbell

I really hate to say that the reviews of this place are mixed. The food was hands down amazing, the music selection was great and most of the staff was a pleasure to meet. They have a pole guide for younger children but it’s not properly designed so a lot of accidents were occurring with smaller children, and the the bigger kids couldn’t get out of the way in time to not run over them. There was also a group of boys there that seemed to be regulars and friends with what I can only assume is the owners son, they didn’t care if two children with special needs that were using the guides along the walls were skating slower then others. Instead of going a round the other side they plowed between them and the wall. I spoke with a worker and the owner, who then went to speak with the boy but spoke to the larger child first. Nothing was gained by this, they continued to follow where our group of 12 was for the remainder of the night even with the owner watching. At one point the larger child even puffed up his chest at me as if in a form of intimidation while I was speaking to the owner. If you have special need children I would suggest going somewhere else as they can not seem to control patrons/employees friends. If you’re looking for a good time with wild teen this is the spot. We rented the rink for a private birthday party. The price was perfect. $200 for 2 hours, free rentals, private party for 50 guests. The concession stand was available to purchase food and drinks. They allowed us to bring in our own cake (no other outside food), and they provided 4 jugs of fruit punch/lemonade. They streamed whatever music we liked from their own Apple Music subscription. They provided tools for skating games like limbo, but otherwise they were pretty out of sight, but always available. The facility was clean and smelled clean when we came in.
