Had half hour before work and had only four items then they had 6 people in line and had to do a exchange but cashier who had been there for 2 months obviously was not trained right because she still didn't know how to do a exchange had to wait 5 minutes for manager who was in her office to come over and help then manager didn't even get that done right so they rang up stuff all over again and so then another 10 minutes later we had no choice but to leave for work which almost caused me to be late for work all because management and cashier girl don't know what they are doing and I've been a cashier for years and any new job you go to should train there employees right for at least 2 weeks or more depending on if they get it or not. I am done coming to this store in Canton I will just have to go to Lennox SD as they are not so slow and can run the cash register and the store there is friendly...
   Read moreThe aisles are constantly full of carts of stock that need to be put away so it's near impossible to shop for anything in certain areas, or get around with a cart or if there is another person shopping in that area. They can't get enough staff, I'm guessing because they pay too low of wages and because the person managing the place is terrible at it. In addition the hours are constantly varying, or they are just randomly closed during the times they should be open, with no explanation. None of this happened when Cindy was managing. Although I doubt doing a review on here will make them improve anything, considering the number of poor reviews that are on here and the store just continues to be a bigger...
   Read moreI had gone in Saturday to get a few things, I ended up getting more than I had wanted but I was glad to for my nursery for my baby. I returned everything except what I had gone in for and the manager there was just very rude asking me why I was returning it, and when I gave her reasons she was demeaning about it saying I donât understand why you even bought it then. I lost my baby that morning and I was trying to not cry at the cashier counter because of her comments. Zero customer service, absolutely rude and no empathy. You donât need a damn reason why someone is returning things. I will not be returning to Cantonâs Dollar General ever again if they let a manager like that manage their store....
