All around disappointment. Waited to review THIS location until.we had the opportunity to visit the Beaufort location again...just to see if it was an overall decline or just Cape Carteret. It is most assuredly just THIS location. Night before Valentine's Day 2 tables of 2 guests in whole restaurant...approx 5-6 staff standing around on phones as we walked through the door to be met with food all around the salad bad and on the bar around it as well as under the table where we were seated. As well as an odd smell. Ordered cocktails and ahi app. Approached the salad bar about 10min later ... Now the ONLY 2 guests...other 2 tables not Yet bussed. Asked for manager due to the disgusting disarray of the entire salad bar. Foods mixed together, salad dressing with stuff floating in top, spills, crumbs on top and under foot. Not acceptable. Waited at our table for mgr. About 10min later waitress brought drinks. Asked if the manager was coming to which she replied Yes. Young girl noted at salad bar...no bar towel, no gloves, playing with hair under her ballcap. She was literally brushing the food from bar back into the actual food area of the salad bar.! Asked waitress if that was customary to which she replied she wasn't sure. Requested check for drinks and made our exit to get to Texas Roadhouse before they closed. Superior Quality in cleanliness and service by far. Been eating at ribeyes for years. Drive an hour to try Cape Carteret location...regretfully. Primarily for the amazing salad bar they're famous for...not many quality salad bars left. However THIS was not the case in Cape Carteret. We tried the Beaufort location last week and they hit the mark as ALWAYS. 5 on everything.! Fresh, Great trio deal for 2 which Cape Carteret didn't even offer, friendly staff, superior Quality of everything. Would highly recommend the Cape Carteret staff get some training in Beaufort. But at the bare minimum definitely NEEDs a More mature Manager than the one we...
Read moreThis is not a 4 star restaurant any longer! Google needs to reevaluate their algorithms for latest review to update the scores! This place is dirty, missing back half of flooring and my 10yr old noticed smelt like a toilet or smelly lockeroom. They have a very expensive limited menu. Their salad bar is misrepresented..30 items that doesnt include fruit just basics and goldfish etc as an item..as cheap as possible is I think this places motto now. Do Not order a Burger unless you like an off brand seasoned bubba burger patty dressed in a fancy stale bun. Again no French fries as an option for sandwiches or kids menu. There upgraded side options which you are forced to select from if you order a main entree is simply more meat or salad bar.. our Waitress was nice..but we were a party of 7 and 3 of 7 were missing or wrong items came out. 2 of which never were corrected after 30 min so asked for bill to be adjusted. The Waitress let it slip that the microwave was behind due to high volume of vegetables orders..the restaurant was 1/2 full as its the weekend before memorial day..and the manager made excuses for volume as reason for incorrect food..missing food..etc. basically if you want to pay 16 to 19 for a burger and potato and 23+ for basic entrees..go for it..but fast food is better tasting..more options and cheaper than this supposed to be Ribeye restaurant. Bad management has...
Read moreI got the 8oz steak and what came out was a complete disgrace. It was probably only 4oz and it was a flank steak from Walmart. It was horrible and was burnt. Within the name of this organization is “Steakhouse”, you really need to reconsider the cooking staff or rename this business. I would be completely appalled and embarrassed if I owned/managed this place. It’s also pretty dirty here as well. The burgers are also pretty similar to fast food. I’m telling you, whoever you have in the kitchen NEEDS to be heavily retrained or consider finding an actual cook that knows what they are doing and takes pride in their work. I took pictures of our food and had it critiqued by a few actual “cooks” that I know at other restaurants and this place is now the laughing stock of a running joke at the current moment. Nobody could believe a place that labeled themselves a steakhouse would even think about putting a tiny flank steak on a plate and call it a 8oz steak and tagging the price $30. We came on Saturday December 9th. Fix…Your…Kitchen. Appalling and an...
