I don’t usually leave reviews, but this situation has left me emotionally and financially drained. I’m a single mother trying to do the best I can for myself and my child. I came to this gym because they were promoting a “free week trial” — something I thought would be perfect to try and get back into shape without a commitment I couldn’t afford.

When I arrived, a young staff member told me everything was simple: just sign for the free week and enjoy the facilities. At no point was I told I’d be locked into a contract, or that this form was anything more than a liability waiver. I even explained that I couldn’t afford any long-term memberships because I’m raising a child alone and living on a tight budget.

A few weeks later, I noticed my card was being charged. When I called, I was told I was now in a 2-year contract — something I never agreed to. I asked for proof, and they pointed to the signature I gave for the trial. I couldn’t believe it. They turned my signature into a binding contract without consent, and when I tried to speak to someone about it, they were incredibly rude and cold. One employee even told me, “It’s your fault for not reading the fine print.”

This gym is dishonest, manipulative, and heartless. They have no empathy for real-life situations. I’m now being forced to pay monthly for something I never wanted, and can’t even use, just because I trusted someone who clearly misled me. For a place that’s supposed to support health and well-being, they’ve caused me unnecessary stress and financial hardship. If you’re a single parent or someone struggling financially, stay far away...

If i could leave 0 stars i would. PLEASE BE WARE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!!! i cant even begin to tell you the amount of problems i had with these people. Coming in i was told i could try their one week free trial. Turns out it wasn’t free at all and they charged me. I was able to get this refunded, was told to continue with my trial. The next day i show up and get yelled at in front of the whole team and the class by this guy accusing me of stealing 2 months worth of classes (mind you it was my third day). This man humiliated me in front of everyone and not only did he yell at me EXTENSIVELY he flat out kicked me out of the venue over a misunderstanding on their part. Needless to say after this i tried to repeatedly get in contact with the owner to no avail. I have talked to a multitude of people with the same or worse experience. They lie to you to get you to sign the contract and tell you “don’t worry we’re not putting this in the system it’s just to have your information the contract is void” like they did with me. Pfit north cape helped me majorly with my fitness journey. I wasn’t very comfortable with working out at first but they have taught me so much. I joined as a six week challenge and ended up signing for the year. It’s high intensity but the workouts are 30 minutes long and it goes by quick with constantly moving around. The staff really does become like family. Everyone is so positive. I never felt any judgement or felt uncomfortable or out of place. I love how the coaches motivate you and go around the floor during the workouts and help you if they see you struggling (even going the extra mile of giving you more weights if they know you are capable). I truly enjoyed my experience coming here. There’s many times to chose from during the day which makes it convenient for anyone. I have recommended pfit north cape to all friends and family.
