Was fine shopping in there. No prices on things throughout. The checker girl was terribly awful. No way she is an asset there. First off, ready to check out and she is nearby in an aisle looking at stuff talking on her phone. Thought she was a customer since she never acknowledged me at the check out spot. I had to go back to back of frozen foods and get one of the lady's (that were busting ass stocking empty shelves) to see if I can get rang up. She and i came to front, girl supposed to be checking finally gets outta her coma when other chick I got from the back calls her up there. She came to check finally and started and instantly screwed up a scanned item that wasn't coming up 50 off. Other lady has to return and do the key in machine deal to get 50 off. And the actual checker girl steadily talking on her phone. Found out key lady was manager, yet she never told her to not be on her phone, just looked confused and smiled funny at checker girl. Checker girl gives back to manager the "what? I'm on the phone" look as though she is entitled to talk on her phone at work all day. I am seeing all that and also I am trying to tell checker that a few of items were not priced and to check that first. But with her being on her phone call and all, she wasn't hearing me nor cared to pause to listen to simple requests. So she scanned all those items and threw into bag. Then I said loudly to her to hold up and asked again what the price was on them first. She don't even put her person on phone on hold or anything like it. She keeps on talking then looks on screen to tell me amounts. It was too much for two of those so she had to walk away into office room to get key lady back. Still on her phone talking. Key lady puts stuff I didn't get outta way and off my ticket. I feel very bad for manager but same time, she is managing the store! That girl checking ain't working there, she's just drawing a check! And, at this time I just made a connection to it also being that same checker girl that was rude af when I was back on one of the aisles shopping! I was grabbing a loaf of bread and her phone talking self was the same one walking right into my space and made me move back along with my buggie so she could creep on down the aisle. I really thought she was a rude customer during the aisle interaction, but when I made that connection after checkout, I kinda wanted to return her kindness. But I thought, why? She was without a clue walking around. I'm sure it woulda been waste of a good smart ass comment on her... If she even heard me over her phone call! Screw it, if manager don't mind, then it must be over her pay grade. Besides, I get to go up outta here and away from this terrible excuse for a worker and they are stuck with that talking heap of nothing that they gotta act like she might improve once she gets off the phone call! That girl was the weakest link in a daisy chain! Surely yall got better workers in your town?! She needs to be a phone friendly worker... Just keep her off the commercial! New store and that girl don't seem to be a good fit. Maybe if she got her earbuds she would use her hands to do silly things like help out like all the other workers? She probably still on the same call as 2 days ago... Still barely present but in the building...pushing shoppers outta her way like an ogre! Will get pics of this s*#t next time... Almost comedic, it's so not what to do in a poster kid training video way!!! Manager, just send her over to the cell phone store. Missed her calling because she loves that chatterboxing. Totally worthless employee to DG! A stray cat out back would be a better worker... For real. Very very off-putting from customer...
ย ย ย Read moreI drove past the new building, thinking it was not yet open. But when I went to the original Carlisle Dollar General, it was cleaned out and locked up. So, I circled back to the new DG Market and did my shopping there! I ended up spending a couple of hours inside this brand, spanking new Store ๐ฌ!! Time well spent as I wandered the aisles with my mouth open in awe at everything that is for sale here! Some of the bins were marked, but unfilled with stock yet, like where they will place produce of some sort in the center front section of the store. But the frozen cases, cold cases of fresh meat cuts, like pork chops, boneless hams, stew meat,๐ฅฉ steaks, ground beef, pork loin-- the meat looked fresh, very good and was a great surprise finding there. The back wall was a solid Cold Case stocked with the usual grocery store items: bacon, eggs, cheeses (shredded, slices, block), milk, sausage, yogurt, juices, sodas, water. There's a lot more food stocked in this DG Market than in the usual Dollar General. A big variety of snacks, sodas, canned goods. Plus, you will find the usual house wares, kitchen supplies, crafts, cleaning supplies, stationary, toys, paper & plastic supplies, and carries a larger beauty -makeup section, with, Makeup Revolution Palettes, lipstick, etc! ๐ Very Cool! The check out was so nice and easy! The clerk was smiling and so friendly as she checked the items. They had about 4 checkout stations and 3 were open!! Yeah, ๐๐ผ, hope that they can keep that up as well as the cleanliness of the store. I'm looking forward to my next visit! Remember: if you are going from AR HWY 70 E, and you turn on to Bobby L Glover Highway, you will find the DG MARKET on your RIGHT, before you reach Nick's Barbecue, okay??...
ย ย ย Read moreIโve had several instances where I buy something and it doesnโt ring up with the price advertised and they do not like changing it, in fact I just bought 2 items in the sale it was 2 for 5$ and they each rang up $3.55 and they said oh well sometimes it works sometimes it doesnโt. Also why do they say we arenโt stocking that anymore because we keep running out! Isnโt that the entire purpose is to...
