Rabbit Transit — Local services in Carlisle

Two weeks ago my 11 yr old and I were on the bus for 2 hours.

Today my 11 yr old and I were picked up after our appointments promptly at 10:09. I went in, sign him into school and returned to bus at 10:16. I was told I was on wrong bus and I needed to get off and wait there for another bus.

I called to see when I could expect the bus to pick me up, I was told 11:20. I was outside in the cold waiting. I called back to register a complaint. The woman who took my call said the bus would pick up at 11:15. Meanwhile I'm still sitting outside in the cold. At 11:20 the bus still had not arrived. I called back to rabbit transit, "Heather" answered my call this time. She was insensitive and rude. All she would say is my pick up is 11-11:30. Finally at 11:30 the bus picks me up.

Now, nearly 2 house later I'm on the bus as its driving in circles in Mechanicsburg. We're back tracking.

I had a 9:00 appointment, I only want to get back home and I'm on the bus going the opposite direction from Carlisle at 11:50. Someone has awful direction and...

I'm a college student and I have to commute to school every day, but I sometimes I have to leave early with my dad on his way to work because rabbit transit is either running late (as usual) or they get the pickup time wrong and can't change it. On several occasions, I've been stranded at school for hours until my dad gets off work to pick me up. Also, they think that just because I'm able bodied, they can just leave if I'm not ready within 5 minutes the bus arrives even though I have a disability. Yet they'll wait 20 minutes for someone with a walker or a cane, that's like reverse ableist. I would not recommend rabbit transit to anyone, they are never on time, their staff is...

I have great respect for the whole Rabbit Team. They manage to do a difficult job. From the staff who make the trips to the drivers who get their riders to appointments. It's not an easy task to manage. The drivers must consider safety as #1 priority. Many people are disabled, the traffic & roads can be terrible. Weather? They do get you everywhere you request. Even if its icy and snowing out. Sometimes things do not go as planned but most understand it's not done deliberately. I am grateful to have...
