Lindt Chocolate Shop — Restaurant in South Middleton Township

The Lindt chocolate shop is next to the warehouse. You can't go into the warehouse. The shop inside is very big. Chocolate is spread all over. Easy to walk and browse.

I've been to this location several times. For some reason, they are not consistent in handing out the free/sample truffle. I've got it sometimes and not got it the other times. The staff is always different - maybe some of the staff is more inclined and some are not friendly?

My favorite is the European selection. The chocolate is much superior to the US made variety. Though it is very expense.

Another thing which I do not like is when they have sales, the sale is different in shop than online. The email that they send informing of the sale always says that the sale in online and in shop. But when I drive all the way to Carlisle shop, I don't see same sales. Either they should send correct emails, or should have the same...

Not as exciting as I had hoped. We went in about an hour before they closed and the store was completely empty - including staff. We were there for about 5 minutes before 2 staff members came out from the back and walked over to their register and continued whatever conversation they were having. I approached them and asked if they had any samples or anything and they pointed to a tray that was laying on top of the bins of chocolate. We bought over $100 worth of chocolate, no free gifts or anything special. A friend of mine went last weekend and had a completely different experience from excellent greeters, many free samples to free Chocolates for her kids during checkout. Very disappointed. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because the prices are cheaper...

An unexpected, delicious detour on our way to Lancaster PA. We weren't sure what to expect but when we walked in there were large bins everywhere just full of lint chocolate truffles of every flavor you can imagine! Thought I was in heaven.

They also had every bar that they produce. You grab a bag and you go and fill up the bag with all the different flavored truffles that you can eat and that weighs about 5 lb so they charge you by the bag.

To this day my husband buys me a bag of my favorites every Christmas.

The entire area was very clean, not crowded at all. Just a big, open warehouse in white with bins of heaven scattered about.
