DG Market — Local services in Carnesville

If I didnt actually have to leave a star to do this review I wouldn't. Let me say first I am not a complainer nor a rude person. Store is supposed to open at 8 and the two ladies apparently have no concept of this because they didn't open on time. I was waiting to go in even at 8:05. 5 mins isn't a lot fo people usually but I have a 4 mon old and a schedule I have to keep also. I could have been out already by the time they actually opened. When they did unlock the doors they said not one word to me but I opened the door to come in and as I am pushing my child in the stroller thru the door the lady starts pushing a cart that had kiddie pools on it toward me blocking my way in. She kept pushing it seeing that I had my stroller pretty much in the store. Again not a word spoken between her and the elderly lady she worked with to me. Not excuse me I need to bring these out first etc. As I had to awkwardly hold the door and back the stroller back out I had to let the door close on my side and the door hit the pools that's how close she was with them. I said I would have been glad to hold the door for you but my child was still in front of it. Anyways, they are rude and honestly every time I go in this one that's how they are. Also always a long line if they are ever at the counter anyway. I turned around and just left at that point. I luckily remembered they built another one right off 51 a few min away! My coworker and I have visited this store many times over the last 3 mos as we pass through the area on our way to/from work. And to be clear I don't have a problem with the staff or the store. The store generally has what I need. It is clean. The staff is helpful. The restroom is clean. My problem which they may be unaware of is someone skimmed/cloned my credit card and my coworker's EBT card. We know it was at this store bc this is the only store we used our cards. They stole nearly $1000 from my coworker, a couple hundred from my credit card. EBT doesn't do refunds and apparently these lowlife thieves don't care. My coworker is out of luck and having to get help from family/friends/coworkers to pay for her and her children's meals. Without ebt her kids wouldn't eat. This is unacceptable from a business. This is a warning to anyone shopping at this store or other businesses in the Carnesville area, beware, not only was her card number stolen but the pin too. BEWARE: YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE CASH. WHO KNOWS IF THE ATMS ARE SAFE. You might want to get your cash directly...

Was shopping for a tumbler at this store. Picked one up off the shelf, it was very heavy and I dropped it. Upon inspection, it was full of stale urine, which splashed over my feet and legs. They directed me to a restroom which was very unsanitary also. They made no attempt to right this until I called the district manager. He had not even been told of this incident until I finally got in touch with him through their website. Then about a month later, they sent me a 20.00 gift card enclosed in a card which read,' WE WELCOME YOUR BUSINESS"-not "I am sorry for your unpleasant experience in our store." The entire incident was mishandled, much of which I am not going into in this forum. If you value cleanliness and safety, I would avoid this store...
