Bordenaro's Meat Market — Local services in Carroll

A friend took me to this place in Carroll Iowa for a French Dip. What can I say other than this place is awestacular! You can get wonderful beef sticks and meat for the grill as well as spices.

Bordenaro's offer a lunch, as far as I can tell every day. the key ingredient is that they love what the do so much they give everything a KISS. I am not talking about an actual kiss or the band but the ideal. Keep It Simple S*!

I have had two lunches here and both were awesome, quick, and inexpensive for what you get. I had the French Dip first. It came with a side, French dip sauce, and the sandwich. The Swiss cheese had flavor and was excellent with the roast beef. The bread was soft and soaked up that Aju like a sponge giving the French Dip just a great punch you face of flavor. I love strong Swiss and all too often most Swiss cheese you buy in the store is muted in flavor. The cheese Bordenaro used was not overpowering like traditional-aged swiss that complemented the sandwich. It was so good I came back the next day.

When I came back they had Korean Tacos. My lord, they were gooood! The Shredded pork was juicy and moist with a great teriyaki flavor accompanied by a cool coleslaw. I have had a few Korean style tacos. It was two tacos for five and it came with a drink of water. A simple 5 for great tacos. If you do not like a great flavor and a product of this quality fo to that place that offers 60/30 ground beef in a flour tortilla for 6 pack for a pound or you can eat this wonderful quick stop of a meal for lunch that will lift the spirits of Scrooge without all that ghost mumbo jumbo stuff.

It’s like meat Narnia in there! Yes it’s inside a hallway, but once you find the secret closet door.. Look out! The options appear endless! You can get the meat sweats just by looking around in here! I love the local product choices, and the butchered items look like I want to have a BBQ now. Right now. My goodness. The daily lunch is good too. Friendly service, fast but not fast food. I had the BBQ'd chicken thigh today. It was delicious! Everything I have ordered from Bordenaro's Meat Market has been outstanding. There is a large selection of side salads that are fresh and delicious as well, today I went with the caramel apple salad. If I am in Carroll at lunchtime, you can bet that's where I'll be getting my feed on. Thank you Tom and family for knowing what quality food should be, and settling for nothing else. David...
