My dog used to go to the Doggie daycare in Gardena, but I needed to find the Doggie Daycare, which is closed to my home. Anyway, I was searching on the Google website, and I found the Wag Hotels in Carson, CA. They had the promotion that my dog could try for 2days free. I made an appointment for the trial. Then, I took my dog to the Wag Hotel. When we arrived there, it was a big building which was like a real hotel. And it was next to the 405 Freeway. Also, they had a huge parking lot, so I didn't have problems finding the parking space. When I entered the Wag Hotel, It was just like a regular hotel. They had a big lobby, which was displayed with all kinds of dog supplies and the Halloween decorations. And the reception area, they had a nice couch and they offered the coffee & tea beverages for the pet parents. They offered three types of daycare to meet the needs of your dog. All day play plus, day stay & one -one-one. Also, they offered special care for the dog and had behavioral or medical reason. Then, they offered the boarding service, too. They open 24-hour a day. Erin, who was a manager, helped me with the registration. She was very friendly, professional, and attentive. She recommended that my dog should try the half day one-on-one care, which was 5 hours of daycare. The daycare rate was $31.00, which was a really good price. One- on- One care was for a dog who wanted to stay in the room, and the staff was taking care of the dog. Your dog could order special treats from your own room. Just like the regular room services. Also, your dog could have various activities. This was really interesting dog daycare. My dog was not a social butterfly, so one-on-one was the perfect care for him. Anyway, I went to take care of my business, and I came back to the hotel to pick up my dog. My dog was excited to see me. He seemed that he had a good time. They said that my dog did well at the hotel. I was glad that he did well. If you are a pet parent, I would like to recommend the Wag Hotel for your dog. This dog daycare is inexpensive, has nice dog daycare, and is closed to the 405 freeway. And they would take good care of your dog and treat your dog like a VIP!!! Also they have excellent customer service too.

We recently boarded our dog at Wag Hotel, and our experience was extremely concerning. Upon pickup, our dog was unable to stand or walk, clearly in extreme pain. Despite this serious condition, staff either dragged or forced him from his boarding room to the front desk.
The location claimed they made one attempt to contact us from an 800 number but no follow-up attempts were made. For something as serious as a pet unable to stand, multiple attempts should have been made to reach us immediately to find a solution. No emails or texts, or a second or third call!
At pickup, one associate mentioned another dog had run into ours and caused the injury, only for us to later be told this was not the case. This kind of inconsistent explanation raises questions about what really happened.
The weekend supervisor did her best to follow policy and remain empathetic, and I do appreciate her effort to contact her manager and corporate support. However, while she was put in the middle, neither the local manager nor the corporate manager would engage with us directly refusing to get on the phone and leaving the supervisor to handle an extreme situation. This lack of leadership was unprofessional and unacceptable. If transparency was important as this was mentioned, they would not let me see our dog's file with notes from the associates.
We asked for assurance that veterinary costs would be covered, given our dog’s condition, but were repeatedly told Wag would not be at fault. While I understand accidents with animals can happen, the complete lack of accountability, empathy, or urgency was shocking especially when our dog could barely crawl in obvious pain.
In the end, we demanded and received a refund, and were promised follow-up from the GM the next morning. That call never came. Neither the GM nor corporate followed up at all.
This was our first and last visit with Wag Hotel. We were referred by a friend, but what we experienced with lack of concern, poor communication, inconsistent information, and leadership unwilling to take responsibility or show face, this makes it clear they prioritize protecting themselves over the well-being of the pets entrusted...
Read moreis it possible not to leave a star? So many issues with this place and my dog stayed in their supposed presidential suite:
Needless to say, i would not EVER bring my dog here again. Why hire staff who arent even dog people? Do these people even own dogs themselves? Why hire staff who do not know the meaning of sanitary? Can anyone try not wiping their ass after taking a dump, let ir dry, then scrub it off their ass 8 hours later? So much neglect! Presedential suite with presidential attention? No, just pretty much a freakin prison cell with 3 walls and a glass door so the dog wont get bored while he is neglected.
Hopefully they change, for the sake of their existing clients.
Fyi, those toys were brought from home. Not provided by this...
