I brought my 21 year old, (nearly 22) daughter with me to purchase a gift for my boss. We walked around the store for 15 minutes before making a selection and then I approached the register. My daughter was standing next to me when the lady manager asked how old my daughter was and she said 21. She asked for an ID but she didn't have it on her. She was asked to leave the store which she happily did. She waited outside for me while I attempted to make my purchase. The manager then said, I can't sell to you now. What the heck?!?! I'm 56 years old, have ID (not that I was asked) and should not have been questioned once my daughter left the store. She finally allowed me to check out but not before offering a snide lecture about how she would only allow it this one time. Younger kids could come in with their parents but she could go wait in the car while I shopped. Needless to say, I left with my daughter, looked outside.. no sign listing an age limit to come in with a parent. Can't find the law that states this... Guess I'll just stick to the stores that don't humiliate me for shopping with...

What do you do with your little one if you want to zip in and get something? Leave them in the car and you will have a Cary police officer waiting for you when you get back to the car. Take them inside and the staff freak out and scream at you. Literally I got screamed at. It is NC after all and we are well and truly stuck in 300BC. Otherwise its clean and well stocked just not family friendly. I can take my 10 year old to a shooting range but not to a liquor store...
