Just had an outstanding behind-the-scenes tour of A.K. Rikks with President Jim Murray!

If you are the slightest bit intrigued with architecture, business models or fashion, you need to spend an hour or two with Jim. Fascinating in its design, the building was created with thought and painstaking deliberation. Every square foot of the the structure has been given attention for its contribution to aesthetics and serviceability. Jim did not waver from his ideals during construction and continues to dream up new and interesting plans. Unusual and unique materials were selected to enhance the feel that was desired.

Take some time to stroll around the store, both inside and outside and regard the fantastic pieces and artifacts that have been researched and found--many one of a kind.

Since this was and IS Jim's brainchild, it continues to evolve with new ideas for use of the spaces as the business grows. Jim's passion is evident and his vision for the company continues to expand with service to clients as their number one priority. Both Jim and A.K. This really is a quaint little place there is a lot of different things in there to look at a lot of beautiful clothes and what looks like to be tie dyed handmade sun dresses that are very comfortable you can also find and hear a lot of goth merchandise and other trinkets the only thing I can say is that the attending clerk was not very helpful and she was very very dry when I asked her about a certain item that didn't have a price ticket on it she looked at it and said it's 14.99 I put it back and decided not to buy from there I don't like people who have a snide attitude and don't greet you when you...

Went to AK RIKKS after not living in Grand Rapids for ten years. WOW, how is it possible for it to be even better than it was? Chase was my stylist and was QUICK to help pull some fall jackets for me- he pulled styles I never thought I’d wear, and I loved the options so much I left with two. We are looking forward to many more shopping trips here! Honestly, we shop in Chicago often, and AK RIKKS had better, and more unique options than Chicago (like Saks) usually does. Did I mention we had our one year old son and everyone in the store treated him like a little king?!...
