update- I change my review to 3 stars, there was a definitely a problem with the meat but Reasors stepped up to make it right in a professional way.
I had shared a review of this recent experience with the meat department in the Catoosa, OK store yesterday. Today I received a call from the man who is over meat and seafood for the company from North Carolina! I was so impressed that he took the time to deal with my issue directly. He was very kind, apologized for the incident and the inconvenience and invited me to go back to the store and receive a full refund. I have to say, I’m quite impressed with how quickly and thoroughly they dealt with the issue. Reasors management is serious about customer service and I really appreciate it.
original post We have always enjoyed the bacon wrapped steak and chicken bites at the meat counter. We haven’t had them since the sale of reasors and we were excited to get them. We bought two pounds of the steak bites wrapped in bacon. We were so disappointed! First you could tell the pieces were significantly smaller. I think they were cheaper so I wasn’t surprised. But the quality of meat, was the worst thing we have ever bought from Reasors! Over half, I’d say 3/4 of them were so full of gristle that they couldn’t be bitten in half and were very difficult to cut. We both found ourselves spitting more of them out than we we ate. We put the majority of them in the trash. We have never had a problem with this reasors before, but this was not...
Read moreReasor’s had a good run. Tonight was my last visit. I used to shop here for all my groceries even after moving to Owasso. I was always willing to pay a bit higher price for what I felt was more personalized service, lots of lanes open, people sacking your groceries, all worth the extra expense to me.
They recently added self-checkout and closed the regular checkout lanes (they keep one open during certain hours) forcing self-checkout as the only option.
I’m not against self checkout. But, when you have a cart full of groceries it’s a real pain. There’s not enough room to fully unload your cart, the systems are way to strict with product weights in the bagging area. This required the attendant to clear errors for every other item.
What would normally take 5 minutes for a cart full of groceries took to an excruciating 20+ minutes to check out. The staff was very understanding but I could tell they were a bit frazzled having to dart from one customer to another fielding frustrated complaints.
Unfortunately I think Reasor’s best days are behind them. I can get the same lack of personalized service for much cheaper at Walmart. It’s going to be sad watching this once classy local chain try to command a premium price for Walmart service. This breaks my heart,...
Read moreLooks like I'm not the only one having issues. Store is not well stocked. Premium price on everything. Not sure if the Brookshire owners are the issue. It has definitely went downhill. Today no Reasors brand whole milk. I agree with the review about sale items not ringing up correctly. Bags of mandarins a dollar more than the sign said today! Last time I brought it to managers attention thought I was going to fight her for $1.40. On a positive note they did send me a digital coupon...
