I had an absolutely awful experience with this company and I wish I would have read some of the other poor reviews because my experience echoed that precisely. They are horrendous at communicating. If you call, you are extremely lucky to get ahold of anyone, and if you do, they will not be able to answer your question. Instead you will be told that someone will follow up, which they rarely do.
The billing for remote work is an absolute scam. I have emails demonstrating that they tried to "fix" my system when really they internet was down. I got charged an hour for this. The second time it happened I reached out and let them know. This was four minutes from start to resolution. Another hour was billed. I would never trust them if my system actually went down and I needed to use the backup.
When calling to cancel I was told by Wesley that its my fault that their communication was bad and this is no excuse for cancelling. Apparently I wasnt talking to the right people. I guess dont bother calling their number listed on google because thats the number I was using. The company is 15 people and whoever I call should be able to get my message to the right person. Blaming the customer is a terrible look. Good luck running a...
Read moreI consider my experience with SymTec to be exceptional because I have dealt with IT assistance my entire career and though I am an educated, well respected and successful professional in my field, I have always been made to feel somewhat inadequate while being helped on IT matters. I did, that is, until my good fortune to hook up with SymTec (and Amber in particular). Before SymTec, I'd been treated as though my IT folks were super-human and I was an annoying pencil and paper mortal -- and the crowned king of dumb-questions-land. I'd sit quietly as my IT team set out to impress me as much as they did to assist me. To say that SymTec is an IT godsend who are as sharp as they are quick to respond while being helpful and kind would be an understatement. Have I asked dumb questions of them? Sure, of course I have; I'm not genius on such matters (never will be and do not aspire to be either). Has SymTec reminded me of my short comings? No, of course not. They are professionals doing their magic quietly, efficiently and well. They do not have to prove that they are as good as they are because they just are. SymTec and Amber - thank you, thank you - you're the best;...
Read moreUpdate: We were with SymTec for years and they were great (which is why i left a 5 star review previously). But we recently changed our IT company as one of the owners of SymTec were trying to raise our prices drastically. And told us "their IT people were spending too much time at our location". We are a small operation and getting quotes from other IT companies they assured us we are definitely not a complicated set up. We left as we found better customer service and better pricing for our needs. And it was more transparent. I hope for the best for Symtec, but I wouldn't recommend them at this point in time.
(PAST 5 STAR REVIEW)Ezekiel was very helpful, professional and patient. He explained things very clearly and he was able to get to the root of the problem. I was very impressed and...
