Visual Lyrics — Local services in Cedar Park

I cannot really rate the two flower arrangements that I ordered for my son-in-law's funeral, because I never saw them. I ordered two large arrangements that were to be placed near the altar for his memorial service from Visual Lyrics over the telephone. Not being from the CedarPark/Austin area, I was not aware there were two churches with similiar names, Christ Episcopal Church and Christ Church. I gave the correct name for the church, Christ Episcopal, but I googled the wrong address. I went into Visual Lyrics two days before the funeral to confirm what I needed and make the payment. I was told they had all the information, but did not verify. On Saturday, June 18, the day of the funeral, my husband and I arrived with my daughter 20 minutes before the service. The flowers were not there. After the funeral and reception, I sent a text to Visual Lyrics letting them know I did not have the flower arrangements. The next day, I sent another text when I realized I had given the wrong address. I asked about the delivery of the flowers to the other church. Two or three days later, I received a phone call from the owner. She didn't know what had happened for it was her brother who was responsible for the delivery. After she talked to him, she called again. He had left the flower arrangements in a building at Christ Church even though there was no one there. This was less then an hour before the service, which I had told them would be at 2. As he was leaving, he saw a car drive up in the parking lot, but did not go back to talk to the person. There was nothing on the arrangements indicating the name of the florist, so if the person who arrived at Christ Church saw the flowers, they could not contact Visual Lyrics. Visual Lyrics did not text me to let me know they had left the flowers in an open building instead of giving them to a person. None of these are their practices. The owner told me she would contact Christ Church and find out what happened with the arrangements and also she would talk to the other owner to see what they could do about the situation, either a partlal refund or something for my daughter. It is now over a week later and I have not heard from Visual Lyrics. I acknowledge it was my fault for giving the wrong address, but there were things Visual Lyrics did and didn't do that contributed to two large flower arrangements not being delivered to my...

This a mother and daughter small business that we were excited to support on our wedding day, considering I own a small business as well. We went back and forth about using Visual Lyrics because we wanted to make sure they would really live up to our expectations on the day of our wedding. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Although the florals were beautiful, there were many discrepancies from the contract to the actual decor. Even the display they presented in their boutique two weeks before the wedding, was starkly different that what was presented at Villa Antonia. We had specifically asked for coral as one of the colors, there were almost NO coral flowers. All the flowers were extremely light blush colors, there was no Ranunculuses or Protea in my bouquet as the bride (which I personally requested), my bridesmaids were disappointed as well with their leaves and stem heavy bouquets, there was little to NO greenery on the tables which was one of the main talking points of our conversation with Visual Lyrics. We feel like things were falsely represented by VL and their excuse was that It wasn't available and you signed a contract that said florals will change based on availability. There's more, two days before the wedding, they looked at the layout and realized that they didn't have enough florals for all the tables. They had the layout months ago, and make a mistake themselves in their counting of tables and tried to blame it on us. The team at Visual Lyrics are absolute artists. When our wedding planner sent us some examples of their work I was impressed. Then I went to their store to go over their plans for our wedding and I was absolutely blown away. They had somehow taken my brief description of what I liked and a few of my pinterest ideas and magically created a vision that completely captured our aesthetic as a couple. I never once mentioned my favorite movie growing up was Beauty of the Beast and yet they had incorporated table centers with bell jars full of flowers stacked on antique books. They intuitively knew I wouldn’t want some ultra modern archway and would prefer something romantic so they had fabric spilling out of empty picture frames on the greenery. They had hand drawings of their ideas to give me when we met. They encouraged me to voice my opinions on all the decisions they had made (though I had no critiques). On our wedding day, stepping into our venue felt like stepping into our own personal fairy tale. It was so us. Working with them was a dream.
