I have flown to Europe and around the US. Cedar Rapids agents have Always been amazing! Polite, helpful, and pleasant. 2 weeks ago I was dropping off my unaccompanied granddaughter to fly to Phoenix. The agent in security started yelling at us about being in a wrong line, taking off my shoes, but I am 77 and did not need to take them off, and just so rude! I lost my drivers license among the chaos. The other agents were so helpful as was the police officer in telling me what I needed to do. I went back to airport the next day as I called and they had found my license. There was no one at the information booth to help when I walked in front door. The nicest man, I think his name was Tom, came down to help me. Took me to lost and found room and got my drivers license for me! Again, the security person was so rude and angry, so having Tom help me, was so refreshing and he was so polite....
Read moreWow we are starting to look like a big city airport with a home town feel. Very impressed with the changes that have occurred since I last flew in November of 2021. We flew out of gate 2 in the new area and was most excited about the updated restrooms with the hand dryers attached to the sink which leads to less water on the floor and a cleaner looking restroom. The new bar looks great and is supporting Cedar Ridge Winery with their artwork which is pretty cool. Although bar was not open when we flew out, I am sure it's busy with customers when it opens. I hope they continue to make improvements to the airport as it is the first impression people who fly into and out of...
Read moreThe front checkin desk was the worst customer service I have ever had. The 2 ladies that checked us in at American Airlines were extremely rude and unhelpful. They rescheduled us on a flight we told them we would not be able to make, and canceled our returning flight home without telling us. We went back to the airport 2 days in a row. We had to purchase new flights from a different airport and airline costing us hundreds of extra dollars. However, TSA was very nice and helpful, and the drinks and food were great with awesome service. This airport needs to get it together though because almost everyone I saw was delayed longer than 2 days, and they could not place them...
