I love my doctor but when you need the nurses to do something for you, forget it. I just needed paperwork to be signed for our foster care and adoption licenses, they lost the paperwork. Waited until my husband called to see where they were in the process. Had to print them off and then drive 20 minutes to drop them off again. Then a week and a half later we receive an email from them stating they needed to see me to fill out the paperwork. My husband called and explained what they were looking for. They finally got the paperwork signed and told us to pick them up. We gave them a fax number to fax them to and yesterday we received an email from our worker stating they have not received the paperwork yet. Called today and they "say" they will fax it over just like the previous times they said the same thing. Very frustrating. Called to see if accepting new patients for my adolescent, was told "yes, on a limited basis, let me ask you some questions. What insurance do you have? Diagnoses? Age of patient?" We have insurance, pre teen kiddo, has some diagnosises. Said they would check with provider and get back to me. Called next day and nope, not taking new patients. Don't have capacity to take on new. Wouldn't that have been something that should have been said with the initial ask? So if Mercy is now going to discriminate against people, for whatever reason, maybe they need have a list of who they will take so people know. They are very cold, insensitive, and lack empathy for their patients. They thought I had Cancer and they posted my MRI results that wasn't cancer on my patient portal. No phone call from the office about the MRI because it was something else, (less serious health problem) and not cancer, however, when I had a strep throat culture, the office called me with the negative results. There are quite a difference between the two tests and health problems. The MRI and possibly that I had cancer but I didn't have Cancer was worthy of a phone call more than the strep throat phone call results.
