Burger King — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

This Burger King is the worst I ever have been to. I have been here multiple times considering its the closest 1 to my house. One time my family dined in there i asked to have the food made hot and fresh to order do to multiple times I have been to drive thru and recieved cold or missing food items, this time I figured I will request it be made hot and fresh my, family members meals were fine but mine was cold and they only toasted one of the buns of my sourdough king I ordered, I immediately took it to the manager that I had asked to make sure it was hot and fresh and she had it remade it. This time it came out even colder, was like biting into a half frozen burger still, cold sauce into my mouth, so I immediately walked to the trash spit it out and threw the sandwich away. By this time I was furious and stormed out, lost my temper a little, my wife told them the problem, they yet again made a 3rd sandwich which was still luke warm but the best of the three, and when she watched them make the 3rd they pulled the meat from a warmer tray and served it when I specifically asked "made to order", oh but everthing was alright cause they gave me a small fry plsshh, that is 1 of dissatisfied occasions the other day we went for breakfast in drive thru could not decide what to order because breakfast signs were not flipped and no1 greeted us to take order for 5 mins with no other cars in the 2nd drive thru, so we proceeded to go around where there were 2 cars waiting at 2nd window proceeded to back up the drive thru to dine in where we went inside and proceeded to tell an employee about the breakfast menu, she looked over and got the shift managers attention and told her, where the manager responded "its cold out there do you want to go do it because I dont, I don't care I'd rather lock up and go home". I said nope to that kind of laziness and left without ordering anything because I dont deal with that kind of attitude where my food is being made. I think this Burger King honestly needs to be shut down till they get the right kind of management. I would rate 0 stars but 1 means hated it. Do your job or dont have 1 if your going to be that lazy people pay money...

This is one of the most inconsistent fast food places in town. The Mount Vernon road location is the worst, but the others in town aren’t much better. I would give it zero stars if that were an option. A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I went and the person taking our order at the drive thru was so rude and clearly did not want to be there. After every item she would say, “is that it?” with an attitude. Then when we got up to the window I hear her “sighing loudly into the headset and then talk down to the customer. There was a manager standing right next to her as this whole thing unfolds and he didn’t say one word to her. He let her slam her hands down on the cash register and then throw them in the air in frustration. I have never dealt with someone who was so blatantly rude. Then I decided to test my luck and go again. I should have known better. I ordered a whopper, mind your this is at like 11 am, so I was thinking if I got there early enough everything would be fresh and there wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong. I pulled around to the drive thru and they asked me to park and they would bring it out. I didn’t mind waiting because that must mean they were cooking it fresh - NOT the case. I’m pretty sure they gave me food from the night before. The bread was hard and cold. The patty itself was cold and the fries looked and tasted as if they’d been reheated. Not only is the food bad, but I would encourage the health department to inspect very soon! Food should be at a certain holding temp and I can tell you with certainty that this would not have passed an inspection. I use to love Burger King, but it is obvious that management and employees alike, do NOT care. Save your money, stay home and cook or find a different establishment to visit. I first started having bad experiences at this specific location almost 5 years ago so I almost never go there because of it. But on the rare occasions i would stop by it has always the same. The food quality sucks and the beef patties are always dry. The nuggets are dry. The fries are cold. The only good thing I’ve gotten was their chicken sandwiches some of the time. They almost always have forgotten items from my order. And the staff is either rude or incompetent half the time. I’ve seen my food prepared without gloves. Employees with unkempt facial hair or long hair not in a ponytail. People on their phones behind the counter.
