An old theater house, but with a great amount of personality. Reasonably well kept for both it's age and the current attitude towards small town theaters-I've been in nicer places, but I'll take slightly ran down over bright and sparkling new any day if the place makes me feel welcome and truly glad to have me there as a patron, which this place does in spades and most of the large scale multiplexes have completely given up on trying to emote. The film selection is limited to large attendance, first run movies, but that's to be expected given their limited screening capability and smaller budget. The best attraction is the ticket price-$7 adult/$5 child, with $5 showings every Tuesday. The snacks are typically priced, but the ticket price offsets it enough to make actually buying from the snack bar a reasonable possibility.
I had actually stopped going to see movies at the theater about a decade ago because of the lack of appreciation as a patron and the escalating ticket prices-since being introduced to this theater I'm going out to see a movie about twice a month. It has rekindled my love of watching films on...
Read moreThe theater is clean and the price is low. If I have any complaint is with the two theater halls next to the concession stand. They are very uncomfortable and no drink holders. The sound quality is good buy they don't turn it up lound enough to hear the actors speak when it's a full house and everyone is munching on popcorn. There always seem to put the best movie of the week in the 1 hall. Wish they would put it in the newer ones. Cost was 53 bucks for 4 adults 2 popcorn and 4 drinks. UPDATE, was a 3 there has been some updates to the sound. Was able to hear this time. The prices are still reasonable. Now comes the but, the seats are just horrible in theater 1 feels like i sat on a steel bar all night. I need a massage now. Don't they realize people have back problems and can't sit on steel all night. I also felt like i was sitting in disease. The ceiling is peeling and the wall looks like its been wet, there has to be mold in there. new review its getting alot better there new seats price went up some still...
Read moreSeveral of our family members had planned on attending Top Gun - Maverick. We arrived after buying tickets online to find that the A/C did not work. It was in the high 90's outside and nearly 90 degrees in the theater. A small barely legible sign was posted on the door that the A/C was not working properly. However, this was never stated to people who bought their tickets online. The theater was miserably hot. Any business owner with integrity would have never allowed a theater to be open on a very hot night without a properly functioning A/C unit. We will...
