If you decide to go here it better be for a Flu shot, and even then they will send you to the pharmacy. I don't have much longer here on earth. The hospital recommended I go to Rocky Vista to continue getting my medicine in Colorado. I've been on my medicine for almost 10 years. When I went to the facility they explained that they could absolutely prescribe my medicine except my ADHD medicine bc they aren't "mental health" I said yes, bc I was happy to have a PCP and they said they would have absolutely NO problem being my physician and prescribing my medicines. Today, after being a loyal patient for almost 6 months, they called me to say that they could only prescribe ONE MORE MONTH of my medicine and I need to find a new physician... I'm on clonazepam and Lyrica and those are the medications they are freaking out about it. I told them before I became a patient that it's crucial I maintain these medications and regiments because last time my physician tried to get me off of my clonazepam two days after I went down. Now I have less than 30 days to find a PCP after the whole experience being a complete nightmare. I'm not a junkie loser although that's how they treat me bc I'm on CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES. It's not like im asking for morphine or something crazy, it's a C-IV and a C- V controlled substance. For example, Schedule I narcotics include heroin, marijuana, cocaine etc. Schedule II narcotics are things like single entity opiates and amphetamine based ADHD medicine (the first medicine they stopped giving me) then there is C-III narcotics are opiate combos (Percocet). THEN there is schedule IV is sedatives like benzodiazepines, like my clonazepam. Then my Lyrica is a SCHEDULE V Narcotic, it includes medications like opiate-based cough medicines and my lyrica. So as you can see it's not like I'm The "physician" in question its Ms. DOCTOR MEAGAN BURKE. I should at least be given a taper or offered one. Or they should have said " until you find a new physician we will continue to prescribe so you don't die of a grand mal seizure." Because as we know there are three medications that can kill you in withdrawal one benzodiazepines, two alcohol and three barbiturates. They knew the medications I was on prior to my intake and still took me. They also will not tell me why. They Dodge my calls thus dodging my voicemails too. They advertise that they use their portal. But I have many many messages saved and no responses. Almost like they want to remain off the record. At this point it's impossible, I have the phone call recording of me making the appointment then talking about the medications I'm on and how I was able to become a patient without incident. I also signed a document saying that I would not abused it or sell it and have my own copy of that and I have the whole first appointment recorded on audio bc my husband thought they seemed a little unprofessional Last appointment i had one of their DOs (on residency) mentioned "the office is changing it's rules about benzodiazepines so we might have to give you the lowest dose" Right now as I'm typing this my husband is speaking to the Colorado state medical board. Maybe they should have asked what my husband's family does for a living and they all have passed the bar OR have a mother in law that has been the head nurse of an ER for over 20 plus years. Today's date is 6/29/23. I will keep updating this review as information comes in. Also they said they were going to give me 30 days of my medicine and a screenshot. I take 3 Clonazepam a day I need 90 for a month, they are just giving two weeks now! It's almost like she gave me these refills as a here you go you junkie leave me alone if you try to talk to me again I'll have you arrested or something. If I have a scheduled appointment why are they giving me a refill for 2 weeks now they should be giving me a 30-day supply from the date of the appointment. I have not been formally discharged. Throw me to the dogs. *NEW LETTER TODAY 6/29/2020

Just spoke to Dr. Bill Warkentin on the phone after 3 months with no response from my current pcp Dr. Reynolds. I wrote Dr. Reynolds a message in the patient portal (don't bother, they don't respond) approximately 3 months ago on 5/11. To date, he still hasn't responded. I also tried to call and left several messages as I knew my insurance was going to expire and I wast trying to be treated before that happened. Finally, this Dr. Warkentin calls me today on behalf of Dr. Reynolds. I explained the issue to him, which he chose to argue about (not getting a return call) then asked if he could help. I asked him if he was familiar with my case, and he said he has my chart. Then we got into reading the message I wrote in the patient portal where he accused me of not having stated a need for a response. That message in the patient portal follows here: "Doc, Thanks for the phone call the other day and the new prescription. I have been looking into things myself a bit and want to schedule a time with you to get my liver checked out. I think the back acne, dermatitis, water retention, light sensitivity, and eye pain all have one thing in common; my liver. With the (slightly) elevated ALT levels I have had it seems to make sense. I have cut out all grains, starches, cruciferous vegetables, and non-fruit sugars in the last couple months and still the symptoms persist. I have also noticed that if I have a glass of wine or a hard cider that the symptoms get worse. Let me know when we can get this done, I am in town until next Thursday, and then again 5/29-6/10. Until then I am cutting out alcohol entirely and will be taking milk thistle to attempt to reverse some of the symptoms. We can talk about if it works or not then. Thanks!" Dr. Reynolds had called me approx a month prior to this message to change my prescription for one of the skin medications I am using. That's the last I heard from him. This Dr. Warkentin was more interested in trying to argue with me about my dealings with Dr. Reynolds than trying to help with my medical problems. When it got to the point of asking him about my medical issues, he said "I don't know you" to which I responded "that's why asked in the beginning if you were familiar with my case". I ended the call by telling him that I understand he is not interested in helping me, and thanked him for his time. This is a MAJOR violation of his hippocratic oath, and I believe between that and his obviously jaded and extremely poor attitude towards patients that he should be stripped of his MD and removed from his position immediately. By responding this way, in a training hospital setting, he is teaching his doctors to treat patients this way, and be dismissive of their problems. This shows an incredible lack of accountability, and refusal to accept that his students (who are also doctors themselves) may make mistakes that need to be learned from and corrected. I find this whole experience here to be riddled with medical negligence on behalf of the doctors, and am extremely disappointed with the outcome of both my treatment and communication. Thankfully I have made copies of all of my correspondence in the event that I need to bring legal proceedings against this office for gross negligence in the future. Do not use this office if you can find ANYWHERE else to go. Unlike others I do want to say that the front desk staff was always pleasant and...

Avoid this place at all costs. The ladies at the front desk are the reason I even gave two stars - they have always been very friendly and helpful. My experience with the doctors however have been the absolute opposite. First example: I saw a doctor back in December and was prescribed antidepressants. The prescription was sent in incorrectly so when I went in to get them refilled In February, the pharmacy refused to refill them because it was "too soon" to get refilled. I called and left a message on their pharmacy line asking for the prescription to get fixed as soon as possible and their message stated I would receive a call within 24 business hours, which of course never happened. I have been off the antidepressants cold turkey for about 5 days now and am experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Second example: I developed intense itchiness to the point where I was scratching myself to the point of bleeding. I was wondering if this was a side effect of the antidepressants and messaged my doctor. He got back to me about 1.5 months later stating that he was "on inpatients" - as if that is a reason to neglect the patients you saw on outpatient. I was luckily able to find a combination of antihistamines that is now controlling this. Third example: I saw a female doctor for a pap smear back in December and she stated she would let me know my results the next week. It is now March and I finally called the front office who relayed to me my results. The results were also not even posted on my patient portal.

I just want to say I understand how difficult physicians are having it right now and have had the past two years. However, I am a veterinarian who graduated at the same time as the two doctors I saw, and can assure you that if my communication with my clients regarding their PET's health was the same as the communication these doctors have had with me regarding MY health, I would probably be getting reported to my state board. All in all, I would strongly recommend you avoid this place at all costs for...
