We went to the Linn County Fair with friends to watch the tractor pull. There was the typical fair amusement rides but we didn't ride anything. Of course, we had to enjoyed some of the fair food. I tried Papa's BBQ Loaded mac and cheese bowl. There was mac and cheese with pulled pork on top and topping with barbecue sauce. It was good. I would have like to have extra cheese sauce added. Then of course who could not pass up a funnel cake. Yep, so good. There was a choice of speciality funnel cakes, but I choice plain with powdered sugar. Jim had a tenderloin from another stand. It was the real deal and not a pork fritter like another concession stand serves.
Parking was a bit of a problem only because we were getting alot of rain so some of the fields and gravel parking lots were a mess.
The rain delayed the pull for about an hour but they were able to get the track back in shape to continue on. While we were waiting, they went ahead and shot off the fireworks display instead of waiting for the end. We all enjoyed the final song, Lee Greenwood's Proud to be an American.
