Quality is sadly not always consistent on thickness of hides.
Some of the frames Iâve gotten from them warped within days, do not buy kits with maple compressed frames, they are cheap, and unreliable
Poor customer service, they more worried about saving a small chunk of my over 300$ order than keeping a customer and refunding me for the questionable hide they sent or just sending a new one which probably wouldâve cost barely nothing to them for what they pay on it
When they sent me a hide with a paper thin spot I had to call them 3 times without any follow up, send videos and pictures, they expect you to send their mistakes back, taking your time and money for postage; rather than honoring the clear quality issue videos and taking care of you on the spot without making you track them down or spend days calling and checking for a response, your money or time.
Simply not the kind of company I choose to work with.
Theyâre ok sometimes, their consistency and customer service could use some serious tuning.
Keeping a customer in the long run with simple curtousy, Or calling them ahead if one of the hides is clearly not the same quality as what else has been sent and paid for barely takes any time on their part. Their quality insurance statement was well âif our master drum maker can âmake it workâ itâs good enoughâ
I donât know about you, to me thatâs not a statement of quality. Good enough does not equal quality, consistency is quality, Spots where I could break a drum with a drum stick because it can wrinkle like PAPER, are not
They need to decide if arguing over cost with a customer is really the stance they want to take when they have the ability to make right what shouldnât have happened in the first place
Itâs quite obvious the skin on the left is nowhere near the thickness it is for every other drum head, it crumpled like paper and is completely unacceptable as a maker for anything besides a decorative drum that wonât by be played, the part shown wasnât even the...
Read moreDon't waste your time with the moccasin kits. I bought 3 of them. 2 out 3 of them less than half of all the holes were punched through. The infant moccasin kit I bought and out together had even less holes punched all the way through. This made the one and only needle they sent broke and it took a loooong time to finish which was unnecessary. I bought 2 adult moccasin kits. One of them came together beautifully because all the holes were punched through. Now the second one is not the same. I went around a put the blunted non-leather needle through the holes and less than half are punched all the wY through.
These kits are supposed to come with everything you need to complete. The blunted needle is supposed to work if all the holes are punched through. But they are not. I'm dissappinted to say the least as I do not have leather needles nor do I have a leather punch. So on top of the $100+ I spent on these I'm gonna have to spend more on the tools needed to finish.
I am a very unhappy customer. I have been a loyal customer for years . I could forgive some things like if only one kit had unpunched holes. But having two it's unfair to me as a customer. It made my thumb and fingers bloody trying to pull the needle through. If you've ever worked with leather then you know what I mean.
I don't mind getting the extra tools. What I don't like is being deceived. These kits are supposed to be ready to make.
I sent an email but don't expect anything. I will update my review if customer service takes care...
   Read moreScammed and poor quality.
In June, I purchased a wolf tail they had available. After contacting them, they reassured me it was either a grey wolf or a timber wolf tail. Upon receiving it, it was a coyote. In addition, the coyote tail was in terrible condition. The leather was still and torn, the fur was matted and still had burrs in it from being outside. Had it at least been a decent coyote tail, I would have been still upset over being scammed but at least satisfied it was a nice one.
I thought it was possible their âwolfâ tail was a Bush wolf, which was why I contacted them on the first place. After being told it was a timber or a grey, I felt confident that it was what I bought. Even if it was a wolf tail in poor condition, I would have been satisfied.
This was neither wolf or quality.
Iâve contacted them since purchasing it twice, no response. I had it looked at by a local taxidermist to assure that it really was in fact a coyote and not what I paid for.
Iâm greatly dissatisfied with this store and they will not be receiving my...
