Three Mountains True Value — Local services in Centre Township

I stopped in here because it is local for me and I needed some more paint. The first thing I get is "do you have a mask?". No problem, I get it a lot, so I simply stated I couldn't wear one and that's when I got the eye roll. I go about my business and wait for the employee to finish checking others out so I can ask about paint, and still maintaining social distancing. I had originally bought the paint in Mechanicsburg and ran out so I wanted to get a quart to finish my project and have some for touch ups if I needed. I asked if they could mix a paint sample that I got from another store and I was told as long as I have the sample they could. I had it with me, told the lady which one I wanted and shopped while the paint was being mixed. When i walked up to counter to pay, she was talking all pleasant but at the same time still slamming things around and very short with me. I just thought whatever, I'll mind my business, got my things and left. Meanwhile in the store next door, I realized I forgot something, but decided I wasn't going back in to be a part of that again. One day later, I'm finishing my project and realize the paint that I had mixed, is not the right color. It's not any color on the paint sample that I had and the one I wanted was clearly marked anyhow. So now, I have a project with the wrong paint on it and a color that I can't use for touch ups. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, but they weren't available and I wasn't about to deal with the same lady on the phone. They remind me of my Grandfather's general store. He had a sign that said: "If I don't have it, you don't need it." That applies to these folks. While they may not have three dozen of them, they will have a few. Super friendly staff. I would describe Three Mountains True Value as a "home owner's" hardware store. They carry a lot of basic repair and hardware items but they don't carry lumber or air tools, for example. The staff and service are great, though, and I can get most everyday items that I need most...
