I visit this store often. Today I went in at approximately 4pm. When I was checking out the cashier jokingly asked her bag boy to stand where he was able to block the sun but then dismissed him to get back to another task. I asked her if they had ever thought about putting blinds or even a valance just at the top to help block out the sun and she replied yes weve asked and they said no. I wanted to make you aware that their are multiple reasons why you SHOULD make that one time investment. Your employees are your company. In that experience, your employee had absolutely no faith that your company cared enough to address that serious problem. (When she turned to speak to us she was blinded by the sun and I imagine that would get quite old- standing there working and waiting on the sun to go down so she'd be able to see whi she was speaking to.) If there is a reason you cannot address this at least explain to the employee the reasons why so they can give a better answer than- "we've told them the problem but they just said no" aka they dont care enough.... That said something concerning to me about your company today, yet I have never had any issues here before. Your employees are important and their needs matter. Another reason is, I believe this issue could be a major liability from employees and your customers, in all seriousness, I left with a headache. I have a very common medication I take that does not allow me to have much sun exposure or I have multuple side effects; today your store gave me a headache. I'm writing simply because I wanted you to understand that your store is and will suffer if you continue to disregard requests without considerable thought. I will continue to shop there for now because of your phenomenal staff, but, if this issue does not get addressed I do not know if I will continue to shop and give you my business. If you were unaware of this issue please take the time to consider things other than the amount it will cost to invest upfront because I fully believe it may save you in the long run. Just trying to help everyone. My first job was a small grocery store like this one so its been in my heart since I left today to report my experience and advice to you.
