Chapel Hill General Store — Local services in Chapel Hill

This is the only Co-op General Store that I’ve ever been to, so this review isn’t based on comparisons. This store has groceries, clothing and footwear, feed, hardware supplies, and even some personal hygiene products. Very amazing place to visit.

I went there specifically to buy a pair of leather boots, and the price was reasonable, in line with what I would have paid at my favorite shoe store back home in Savannah TN.

As far as personal hygiene products, they have a very nice selection of Duke Cannon products.

This is just my opinion. If you buy anything from this store you need to know their return policy. I purchased puppy food on Friday gave it to the puppies on Saturday and it made them sick. Took the food back to the store they would not except it even with a receipt because it was open. They said they could not resale it so no refund. They are well stocked as far as bird food goes which is what I primarily look for. The ladies at the deli are really nice. They have a lot of things hardware stores typically have. I'm really glad they started selling non-ethanol fuel again-- will be going there frequently once the lawn cutting...
