I had some hide from a bear my husband took in the Spring of 2024 and wanted a custom bag made out of it. Having a very large collection of Jill’s Homestad bags and accessories, I knew exactly who I wanted to handle the project. I knew I was going to love it but what Jill and her crew of amazing ladies did was way beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I found Jill's handmade leather/hide creations just shy of 2 months ago. She is humble, inspiring, and most helpful. She goes out of her way to answer questions any time to make sure we get what we desire. She has a truly "Southern" spirit and shares her story, family, and her staff with all of us. I have been following Jill's Homestead for over a year now. I got my sister and mom into JIll's Homestead as well. Once I bought my first bag they both fell in love and needed one as well! We combined now have over 10 bags of many different styles that Jill offers. There is one thing that sets Jill's bags apart from other leather/cowhide makers and I follow several that are big right now. Her quality leather selections - you cannot find the selection of colors or the actual look of the leather you can tell it's expensive.
