Dollar General — Local services in Charles City

I stopped into our local Dollar General twice last week and both times most aisles were blocked with boxes on carts, I mean the toy aisle was totally blocked with carts loaded with boxes!! I had to try several ailes to even get over to the cold medicine aisle, only to find it mostly blocked with another cart loaded with totes. I squeezed in behind got my cold medicine and had to wait in a long line because they only had one checker! This stores management has changed a few times in the last year. They need to hire people to stock the shelves at night when they do not have customers. It is usually a mess. So much so that I don't go there very much! ...

UPDATE: We shopped here today and i was sooooo impressed on how it has changed. Couldn't stop complimenting the staff on how Great of a job they are doing. Will definitely shop there more often. Keep up the Great work DG in Charles City, Iowa.

9 months ago this was my post with a 1 star. This store is soooooooo filthy. I don't think the glass doors have been washed in months. In this day and time, clean it up. No hand sanitizer behind the counter for the employees or on the filthy counter for the customers. Not wiping down the carts and there nothing for the customer to wipe them down. WOW just...

Prices not marked all the same... Most marked lower while two other same products marked higher. When I asked a worker.. they just shrugged their shoulders & were reluctant to answer me as to why they were all the same price at the register when not clearly priced where the products CT was on the shelf. One worker got up to just scan them all on what looked like a cell phone, only to tell me all of the products should be marked at the higher price then the lower price that was marked on the shelf then shrugged her shoulders again, saying I don't know. Then why do you work there if you don't know...
