The Rustic Corner — Local services in Charles City

I commute to Charles City for work, and usually find myself on lunch break enjoying a walk around downtown. The Rustic Corner essentially drew me into their Christmas in July Sale as they had numerous Grinch items (my favorite)! Today, I went in to make a very specific first purchase - a goodbye gift to an in-home caregiver as my toddler will be starting her first year of preschool. Knowing this was going to be an emotional purchase for me, my intentions were to keep to myself as I knew I would be shedding tears. I was greeted by Scott, who was warm and kind to my request. Scott spoiled me by taking my vision and making it a true masterpiece in just a few short moments - a beautiful, personalized engraved piece. As I paid with tears in my eyes, so happy to have gotten exactly what I envisioned, I went back to the register as my receipt seemed wrong. Rustic Corner had great sales going on, and I left with the world in my hand at such a small expense; Scott told me the sale was correct, and now I'm leaving the store bawling because everything couldn't have gone any better. Love this store! It's my go to gift store, whether I want a gag gift or something nice, I'm sure to find it here, and if I can't find it, staff are so helpful! If they can't find it for you, they have plenty of other suggestions and will even order things for you. I had them order a gift I had purchased from them in the past and was pleased with getting it right away and the phone calls I received from them on it. Or if you just want something to do, need a laugh? Visit this store! You will leave with a smile on your face, even if you don't make a purchase. I have shopped at the Ruatic Corner since Tami opened it several years ago. Now I'm an old 70's + guy enjoy shopping there. There are so many choices of unique items. It's like walking into a Ben Franklin or Woolworth Store of the 50's. If you want something engraved go there, if you like to paint and need supplies go there. If you need lessons or want to learn to paint go there. She has HallMark Cards and beautiful Artwork. When was the last time you could find a wax mustache or wax teeth? I bet you can find it there.
