I had a wonderful time on this bar crawl tour around Shem Creek. Captain Bryan knows everything there is to know about the area and makes the whole experience fun and engaging. He offers such a unique experience with his stories of the area and connections at every spot you stop along the way. He has relationships with all the bars, and as a tour guest, you get complimentary delicious appetizers at each spot. We ended up going back to one of the bars we stopped at because we enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Charleston area. You won't regret it. Thank you, Captain Bryan!

We actually did 2 tours: the walking history and hops tour and the boo hags and brews tour. Both tours were a good mix of history lesson combined with local lore and good drinks. The guide (captain Bryan) is a lifelong resident and lover of Charleston. You feel the love and passion he has for his city and preserving the history of it. I would definitely recommend booking with this company and would love to do another tour in the future.

Great tour! Charleston at night is a must see. Our guide Brian did a great job of keeping history and respect for past people being discussed at the forefront without excessive sensationalism that can sometimes be an issue on ghost tours.

We took one of Captain Bryans tours and had the best time! The boiled peanuts were delicious to snack on and the beverages provided were perfect since we didn't even think of bringing waters. At the beginning of the tour, the captain threw out a crab trap in hopes that we could catch some crabs. I had never gone crabbing so it was fun being able to see blue crabs. He even showed us how to "put it to sleep" for a bit. I'm not big into history but my parents are and they loved the history part of the tour. I learned where the first shots of the civil war were fired at Fort Johnson and about the history of Castle Pinckney in the middle of the harbor all while seeing dolphins near by. Charleston is so beautiful and I'm so glad I got to experience it in a different way. I would recommend taking the tour for anyone who wants to experience a great time on the water while learning a little bit...

My friend and I did the History tour Hops on a VERY hot Saturday with Captain Bryan. We appreciated that in addition to the two air conditioned stops, Captain Bryan was thoughtful and found us shady spots to stand in while learning the local history. Our tour included a nice mix of history covering: architecture, the early days of Charlestown (before it was called Charleston), local lore, prohibition, slavery, and more. I almost always go on a walking tour when visiting a new city and can say this is a well-executed 2 hours. So much information was jammed into our time but NOT in a dry way. Captain Bryan has a warm and vivacious personality and happily shares his pride for the city...

We all met at an amazing oyster bar for an introduction and some spirits. While there captain Bryan gave us a quick history lesson prior to proceeding to the beautiful cobblestone alleyways. Captain Bryan is such an informative host and guide. Very knowledgeable and energetic. As we proceeded through the Beautiful historical picturesque sites Captain Bryan continued to give us "fact checked" History lesson of this beautiful historical town. We learned so much in such a short time. We highly recommend this tour. It is a great overview of the city while taking in not only the beautiful sites but all the history Charleston has to offer. Thank you captain Bryan for an...
