AMAZING Experience! Beyond the unique and delicious food, I’d really like to highlight the fantastic service and just genuinely good people here. Long story short: My wife was traveling for work on our wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise her with something during the trip. It was unplanned and by the time I found SUMI there was no way they would be able to make the goodies in time for my wife’s co-worker to pickup and deliver the surprise. The bakery texted me explaining they loved the idea of the surprise and wanted to help. In the end, they went so far above and beyond to help. Not only did they make the treats within 24hrs, but they also: printed and laminated a beautiful note for our anniversary. the packaging itself (box and bag) were very pretty and elegant DELIVERED these to my wife - almost a 30min drive one-way!

My wife and her team said the food was unbelievably good. Cookies were “melt in your mouth” texture.

The whole experience was great and I really appreciate the attention to detail and customer service. They went out of their way to help when they really didn’t have to, which speaks to the character of the team here.

Owner An of SuMi is absolutely lovely. She came back from vacationing in Florida and stayed up all Sunday night into the wee hours to bake me three dozen for my son Collin’s Argentina project that was to be presented on the same Monday just hours away. On top of that she lent me the Argentinian flag that she hand carried all the way from Argentina and her husband’s Argentina world cup soccer shirt. These alfajores are little bites of heaven that just melt in your mouth! They are a traditional sweet and delicate treat that is famous to many countries in South America and you can get them right here in Charleston. My husband and I really enjoyed these and we loved how unique they were. These would be great for many different occasions as well (birthdays, weddings, bridal showers etc.) Andrea the owner is the absolute sweetest too.
