Kroger — Local services in Charleston

Couple things. Based on service and selection alone this Kroger is solidly my second favorite in the entire state of West Virginia, only behind the one in Scott Depot (and only just by a hair) and I have been to at least a dozen. But I am writing this today because their wall by the deli was the perfect backdrop for my digital passport photo, a backdrop I was struggling very hard to find elsewhere. Because of the existence of this wall I was able to renew online and save myself tens of dollars, something for which I will be eternally grateful to this store for (or at a minimum for the ten year life of my new passport).

Also worth noting is that the kids working the Starbucks in this store at the time of writing this review have a very heavy pour on the flavor syrups in their Frappuccinos, and I mean that as a good thing. If I am drinking a fatty sugary flavored drink I want to definitely taste the flavor, and these gentlemen assure that I do. Since I have been to Starbucks locations in multiple states and at least one other country I think that technically qualifies me to declare this Starbucks “world class”. Excellent job to both...

There is no doubt that I have to give 5 stars, wish I could give more. I visited there with a delivery of store shelves on 5/19/22. I dealt with Kim Ferraro at the receiving dock. The load I had for them was a mess in my trailer, Kim worked with me on getting their skids out, while moving other skids out of the way to get to theirs. This lady is a hard worker and deserves something for her recognition. It took awhile to get everything situated and rearranged but that is understood if you would have saw my freight. She is a definite go getter and knows how to take charge of the situation. When I first got there I talked to another fella that didn't want no part of it and just passed it on to Kim. I'm glad he did cause I'm sure he wouldn't have been able to pour water out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel. Thank you very much Kim for all your help and hard work. If I ever come back to this store again I'll just look for you instead of asking someone else...

I don't know what's going on with my regular Krogers but the last few times I've gone (I go at least once per week) the produce section is all but EMPTY, the deli has 3 ppl behind the counter but only 1 serving while the other 2 gab, the shelves in many aisles are unstocked and messy and there's only a few cashiers, no baggers and products not priced (my cracker barrell ham wich I ended up not buying because I didn't have to for a price check) during peak hours. I've been going to this same store for 7 yrs. (At various times of the day so don't blame the time) Please do not make me start shopping at Wal-Mart. Clean up your act Gucci Kroger, this starts with poor management or these complaints wouldn't be happening. (I HATE complaining but get it together)! I wish I'd have taken pictures... if there's another experience like this I will but my reviws will also go to Corporate...
