Not a big review writer, but we had such a nice experience at Wells Home Furnishings in Charleston, I felt compelled to write.
We were in need of a full set of living room tables, and had already scoured all the furniture stores in the Parkersburg area, as well as at Easton in Columbus.
By chance, I happened upon a link to Wells Home Furnishings, and viewed their website, which is very well done, I must say. We saw several different table styles that we liked on Wells' website, and planned a trip there on a recent Saturday.
The showroom is huge, clean and very well laid-out. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, without being pushy.
They did not have exactly the tables from the website in the showroom, but they had another set that we liked much better than anything we had seen to date. We ended up buying a set of living room tables, another table for a hallway, and a couple of chairs because they also carry Stressless chairs there.
I browsed other reviews on this site, and found a couple of them laughable. One of them states that the "furniture is way to [sic] expensive". Okay, if a review writer doesn't know the difference between "to" and "too", I put zero faith in that review. The reviewer goes on to say that "you can buy the same valued stuff at Big Lots". That is simply ridiculous. Here is my take: you get what you pay for. If you want junk furniture, then buy it from Big Lots or Valu City.
Another review states "nice furniture way overpriced". Having recently purchased an entire living room suite (minus the tables) at Lazy Boy in Columbus, I will tell you that the prices at Wells Home Furnishings are totally reasonable, and are commensurate with the quality of the furniture.
As I said earlier, if you cannot afford good furniture, then visit Big Lots (do they even sell furniture?), IKEA or Valu City. If you want real furniture that will still look good in 20 years, then buy from a quality store like Wells Home...
Read moreThe nicest furniture in the city of Charleston. Great service in store. Always helpful and courteous. I only wish that the service was equally good outside of the store. I had a large 400lb.+ item delivered. Only 3 men showed to move the piece. I thought, "Thankfully this isn't going to my second floor". By the time it was 10 feet in my front door I had a rather nice and large gouge/chunk in my beautiful wood floors. I only blame management. I will not allow Wells to deliver an item again without adequate man power. This is a small oversight that I ultimately payed for. The mover offered to fix with a felt pen. I declined (I own one)and do not hold him at fault. I will shop at wells in the future and cautiously use any services they...

They do bad business and rip people off!! Stay away from this place unless you want to be lied to and...
