Charlotte Senior Center — Local services in Charlotte

Until Covid struck an amazing space for local seniors to congregate for incredible lunches (healthy and inexpensive or free when appropriate), a variety of activities. Welcoming and warm. Now with COVID limitation, still reaching out to the community and organizing many ZOOM activities. When permissible, outdoor activities include walks and bird watching..... Quite impressive considering the fact that the center is closed.... Hope it will...

I stopped in to find out what they offer. It’s a beautiful welcoming place with all kinds of activities, including, yoga, kayaking, art classes, meals, bird watching, cards, mahjong, speakers,etc. It’s open to residents of Charlotte and “surrounding areas” aged 50 and up; and activities look well attended. I haven’t participated in any of the activities yet, so I can’t comment on...

I was so thrilled to teach at this fine center where the staff truly cares to make the programming fresh and exciting and is responsive to the needs of participants. Everyone I talk to there is friendly and supportive. Even though we are on Zoom now, participants continue to be enthusiastic, and enjoy the many programs offered...
