UPDATE: Was there on Saturday morning and picked up another brisket. The young lady at the checkout was very pleasant and professional. Brisket was bagged too!! Upgraded to 4.

I always go to this store for meat, especially brisket, because it’s very fresh. But honestly? The cashiers are just not that friendly. Today I went to pick up the roast they have on sale and decided I may as well pick up the brisket ($7.99/lb not on sale) I need for a Sunday baby shower and a few other essentials (even though they are far pricier than other stores). Before the woman at the register (older brunette with a shoulder length bob) began ringing up my order I asked to give my number for their rewards program. She ignored me and began ringing it up. Almost $118 later for 7 items I asked again to give my number for the reward program. She finally responds (because I’m not putting in my debit card until she does) with “our system is down so I can’t do it.” With no solution offered, I said, “well, that’s unfortunate since I just spent over $100!”. Her response was to shrug and in an aggravated voice tell me to bring back my receipt and if their system was up they’d enter it. Unloading my cart I realize she also carelessly packed my groceries—not bagging the brisket (yes, it’s large but there are ways to bag a brisket—if Kroger can do it so can you!!) and putting two half gallons of juice in one flimsy...

Got to love shopping at Murphys. Always a clean and friendly atmosphere! Great sales! The staff are always helpful. Where else can you use your rewards to get free items? A great home town grocery store! However...on 12-26-21 @ 3:50pm... I was soooo offended when a new young little strawberry blonde curly haired cashier spoke soooo rude to me when I told her I could've told her how many bunches of greens I had in my clear bag! She dumped them out and made such a mess out of them. They're not in a neat bag now. So instead of just putting the bag in the crisper, I now have to rebag them until Friday! I'm in there daily, and spend 30 to 80 dollars every visit! I have grandchildren older than her! You shouldn't tell your customers to try to have a better day! My day was fine up until that action and remark. Im truly offended! I still love my Murphys, but this new kid in town needs to be put in the corner for a quiet timeout! 12-26-2021 04 25 22 Murphys is still always clean, friendly, and helpful. Hi guys, I'm the strawberry blonde that Mrs. Belinda had a solid complaint about. Unfortunately, she did not tell the whole story. I did not "dump" her greens out onto the belt. I asked her how many she had several times, but she did not answer my question. When I asked her a fourth time with no response, I took out maybe one or two of the greens to count them all. She had eight in total in a small produce bag. I tried to put them back to the best of my ability and I did mess them up a little bit, I do apologize for that Belinda. And I also told her to have a great rest of her day at the end, like I did with all of the customers. She then proceeded to yell at me and write a post about me online. She recently added more to the post about me "losing my job". I actually did not lose my job I had put in my two weeks about a week before. Anyways I loved working at Murphy's, I made great friends and the managers were wonderful people. I will always love Murphy's employees and the store itself!
