NC Farm Bureau Insurance — Local services in Charlotte

You get what you pay for with this company, I wish I could not even give this company 1 star. On Wednesday evening my car was broken into and all my belongings from my purse was stolen out of my vehicle. After canceling my cards and filing a police report I waited on hold for over an hr trying to file a claim. I finally hung up the phone and filed the claim on line. I called the insurance company early afternoon to make sure they received my claim and asked the agent if my purse that was stolen would be covered under my insurance and she assured me that it would be. I later received a call from the adjuster telling me that I had to go get the quote for the window and to send pictures to him. Any other time (with a different insurance company) the adjuster came out to where I was assessed the damages and got the quote for the damage and sent me a check for repairs. Now that I have missed hours of work dealing with this incident, I now have to leave work early to get my vehicle to an auto replace place to get a quote and miss more work taking it to get the window replaced. When I tried to reach my adjuster on Friday asking him to call me back so we could figure something else out so I didn’t have to miss work and get the window replaced before the bad weather I find out on Monday that the adjuster is out of the office and may or may not be back the following day. So I call again on Tuesday and get another voicemail saying he maybe or may not be back on Wednesday. I called the insurance agent and explained the situation that was happening and basically was told I should have got the quote to him and he didn’t know what else to say. I refuse to give this company any more of my business time or money and will be going back to old...

I have been with NC Farm Bureau for several years now. When I started, my policies were with one person. They then changed people, and now I am dealing with someone else, though my portal still has the second persons name as my agent. I have serious concerns about the ethics, professionalism, and character of the staff at this location. As a result, I am in the process of changing insurers. Sadly, when I went to them about that, the lack of character just showed even more. Though I was happy for several years - when different people were handling my policies, I have to say, this office has gone down hill, and I would caution anyone considering them. If you have the misfortune of dealing with Emily, you will see exactly what I am talking about. Though Matt Rice is my agent, recently, he apparently just forwards my concerns to her, and everything goes down hill from there. Good luck Farm...
