WARNING FOR SUMMER INTERNS THINKING ABOUT STAYING HERE:
Queens will NOT refund your security deposit, and tries to stall out the dispute period of your credit card. The air conditioning broke for 3 days and the power went out, and we were not refunded despite this violating the amenities list they were contractually obligated to provide. I had to throw away $220 of groceries, and they did nothing about it. The kitchens are filthy and many of the appliances are not properly maintained, consistently broken sinks and faulty induction burners. The fridge on my floor had a toilet plunger inside, and was basically unusable due to the smell. (Oh, and they they "misassigned" a third to the wrong room). While I wasn't too upset to learn that I lost my spot, even contacting them about my refund proved difficult since they don't answer their phone during business hours. If you're going to apply for summer intern housing at Queens, make sure to put in a few...
