Read moreYou are greeted with a warm welcome from Landa and Maria the minute you step through the restaurant doors. Yassuo is very inviting from the outside and when you step inside the atmosphere transitions you to Greece. It doesn't stop there, our server Thomas was a sheer delight providing us with recommendations and was very attentive to details. We shared a delicious Greek red bottle of wine. The food was excellent and warm when served. My wife, who does not eat Octopus, loved sharing my appetizer which was soft (not chewy) and delicious. In all we had 3 appetizers and dinner. We recommend the mixed grill dinner as well as the salmon. We were very satisfied with the portions. Landa and Maria stopped by to make sure that we had everything we needed and discussed the preparation of the food and thanked us for coming by and enjoying our evening with them, This is a must stop and eat at a restaurant when you are in Charlotte. We are from Greensboro and will certainly make this a priority stop every time we visit Charlotte. Great...
Read moreOur first time dining at this new restaurant will definitely not be our last! We decided to try Yassou Greek when we saw it on the Queen's Feast options, and we're so glad we did. Everything from the service to the food was top notch, even the very comfortable chairs. We chose one of each option from the soups, appetizers and desserts, and two different entrees, so we had quite a selection of different dishes to try out. Each one was very good to excellent, with standouts being my husband's pastitio, perfectly spiced, the lentil soup that was somehow both healthy and indulgent, the zucchini fritters and the orange and honey cake for dessert. Having said that, I feel badly for leaving out the spanakopita and chicken souvlaki, which were also delicious. I would happily choose any of our dishes again, and probably will. This is a truly family run place, and it shows in the care and attention to detail in every aspect of the experience. We can't wait to go back and...
