My people raved about this place and it's other locations, and when my collective friend group found out I was reviewing every pizza place in Chittenden county, they told me this was to be one of my crown jewels. So, I had unfairly high expectations going in. I've tried to edit those out here, to be fair. I was on the way home after trip to a relatives, and happened to be passing through right at dinner. I called ahead, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Them: "When would you like this pizza for, sir?" Me: "I'm in Vergennes, not sure exactly how long." Them: "We'll have it ready for you." ...and they did. It was perfect timing, coming out of the oven hot and steaming right as I walked in. This place is clean, neat, friendly service, with one of those little stores inside that sells fancy crackers, jams, and 25 kinds of hard cider. The staff are great. And look at that pizza. It's beautiful. Really, I was amazed at how good my experience was. Imagine, then, my disappointment when, reaching over into the box while driving, and taking my first bite, I tasted...very little. Almost nothing, actually. It was terribly bland. The crust was essentially a flatbread cracker. The sauce was thin. The chicken was unseasoned. It was just so...disappointing. Everything about this experience was great, except the taste of the pizza. I give it three stars because of the overall experience, and the fact that I could tell the toppings were high quality ingredients. But I have to say, I am tempted to give it 2 stars because, really, isn't this about how good the pizza tastes?

Amazing Pizza and Vegan Options! We are from CT and dont tend to order pizza when we travel because we usually just end up disappointed but you guys absolutely killed it. This was the best pizza we've had while traveling. The vegan pizza (Fra Diavolo) was absolutely killer and my husband loved the Avery.

Great pizza! We ordered a small pizza with pulled pork, scorched peppers, and ancho chili sauce👍👍 The place is small but cute with good selections of wine & snacks.

I'm a bit skeptical about pizza. I'm originally from Buffalo NY and Bocce Pizza was it. Traveling through NY city we would get hand tossed pizza to die for. Now living in NH. The pizza is "meh". Stone's Throw pizza is amazing! The sauce! A bit sweet and something else. The crust was crispy, even as thin as the bottom was, it still held up when I folded it ( because, well, NY). I wish it had more sauce and cheese, but then my husband pointed out for a couple dollars more they can add additional sauce and cheese. Next time. ...

You guys went over the top! When my favorite pie (The Forager!) was missing from the menu I requested it as a build-your-own assuming there was an error with the online order form. Turns out it wasn’t an error, but they were out of key ingredients. Instead of declining my order the staff went out, bought the ingredients, and made it....
