Chatham Pottery — Local services in Chatham

I have passed the Chatham Pottery store so many times while in Chatham, and have always admired the pottery, but never stopped in (big mistake!) I recently decided that I would like some large mugs that are unique. I visited the website and found wonderful 16 oz handmade mugs to enjoy my coffee. I purchased two, one with the "common cod and the haddock" and the other with Chatham lighthouse. I will definitely be getting more! I was not aware that they also carry household items like pillows. I was gifted a piece of Chatham pottery, a beautiful hand-painted mug, several years ago and it has remained one of my favorite possessions ever since. I can't imagine my morning cup of coffee in anything else. The care the artisans take at all steps of their ceramic making process shows up in everything they create. I never grow tired of seeing behind the scenes in their social media posts. Can't wait for the day when I get to shop in their actual store on the Cape, but for now online will have to do. I decided to give my wife a Morning Glory platter for Christmas, but procrastinated and didn’t reach out to Chatham Pottery until early December. Paul informed me they were out of stock but, when he heard my disappointment, he offered to fire up the kiln and make one!! The beautiful platter arrived in time for me to surprise my wife Christmas morning. She was touched when she learned the platter had been made especially for her.
