We recently remodeled our home and wanted to find a large kitchen table. We were disappointed in the quality of wood in the tables at typical furniture stores. We stopped in Cape Cod Colonial Tables show room one snowy day and were warmly greeted by the owners. They showed us the many different looks of their reclaimed solid chestnut tables and we were blown away! The wood is gorgeous! Their tables are stunning and totally custom built. I had to have one and loved to support a local business in Chatham, MA. This husband and wife team that owns the business are wonderful! They pour their hearts into these beautiful pieces and it truly shows. We were able to pick out our own chestnut slab that same day and chose live edge and the base. They offer custom benches as well ,but we went with the cream chairs. Delivery was on time and a breeze. Our chestnut table is the focal point of our home and we receive endless compliments on it. I look forward to many years of family and friends gathering around our gorgeous table.

Over 7 years ago I purchased a beautiful 10ft long American chestnut table from CCC Tables and it was wonderful. Unfortunately a year ago our movers destroyed the base. The Cape Cod Colonial Table family was right there to help us make it right. They built a new base off of measurements they talked me through getting and the original order from 2018. They could not have been more helpful, professional and they drive the table base to me all the way to Pennsylvania. Thankfully insurance covered the cost but they saved the insurance company thousands as no one locally was able to help. This team knows what they are doing and the new base is even sturdier than the original base. I highly recommend them and the quality of their work and the beauty of their tables.

Buying a table here is a journey. You first walk among examples of beautiful finished tables to get an idea. Then into storage where raw slabs of gorgeous and often restored antique woods are nested and slid out one by one for you to judge the colors, textures, sizes and finishes. Rare woods like chestnut have been lovingly restored and glow with fine workmanship. You can easily see it in your dining room. All that’s left to do is choose a base—there are several basic designs—give these expert wood workers time to put it together, and then anticipate the delivery, fully assembled and glowing. It’s the nicest piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. And the people here are lovely. They really know what they’re doing. You’ll want to bake them a pie.

Fabulous! When our custom made eight foot table was delivered it exceeded our expectations. The entrance to our home is in the dining room and we wanted a work of art, a statement piece to be the first thing you see and this table is it. John and Kim were terrific to work with and you can tell that they really care about their customers. They certainly put their love into every piece right alongside the hard work it takes to make these beautiful wood tables. I recently emailed to ask about some history behind the wood used for our table and John answered almost immediately with the story and photos of the source of our table making it even more special. And no one else will have a table like ours. This unique piece will go to our kids and you our kids kids and, though the American Chestnut is extinct, it will live on in this beautiful custom piece for years to come. My husband and I highly recommend Cape Cod Colonial Tables for an heirloom piece you...

After looking for what felt like forever for the perfect dining room table, walking into Cape Cod Colonial Tables and meeting Kim and John was such a relieve. I knew immediately that I wanted to do business with them and felt confident they understood what I was looking for and had the knowledge and skill to make it happen. The gorgeous table they made for us exceeded my expectations and is sure to become a frequent gathering place for our whole family. As a matter of fact, John and Ben hadn't even finished setting it up when my family arrived with breakfast wanting to be part of our first meal on the table. We look forward to sharing many memorable family meals on it (and doing lots of puzzles!) and are so grateful to Kim and John for taking such special care...
