Fort Mountain — Local services in Chatsworth

We were pleasantly surprised and not expecting such a great discovery. Plenty of interesting hikes, cave sightings, beautiful vistas.....and the rock wall was thought provoking. Who really built that? The rv and campground sites are nicely spaced out and the cabins are clean and very spacious. The three bedroom cabin would be a great place to hold a small family reunion. Pros: Good roads, quiet (when trees aren't being cleared like our Tues morn), spacious sites, clean, great trails. Grey water dump sites abound. Cons: the young ladies working said they'd post packets at 1 PM (no early ck ins). At 1:05 went inside and they were both clueless of the time. The large pile of packets had to be found and no directions or help was offered. No internet at site, but it can be found in spots up the mountain...

Excellent Georgia state park. Extensive network of trails for hikers, bikers, and horseback riding. Magnificent overlooks with views. Great playground and picnic area. Nicely restored tower on top. Camping and cabin facilities also available. Well...
