Paula who runs MWR has no clue how to run a bowling center. She surrounds herself with people who know little or nothing about bowling and is is intimidated by those who do. Typical unsecure micro managing leader. Paula ran off all the people who actually knew how to run a bowling center and understood the sport of bowling.
The new lane guy "head" mechanic put magna-glide slip agent on all the approaches and turned them into an ice skating rink. The previous head mechanic Bryan would have never made such a drastic mistake. Not too terrible for rec bowlers, but for an advanced competitive bowler, it's a show stopper. The last two times we attempted to bowl there, it was a complete no go. I've been taking my son (who is about to bowl in college) there for the last 8 or 9 years now, and it's a shame that we'll never step foot in that place again. Paula is just terrible for that center.
Not only that the lanes have turned into trash. We were getting grease on our bowling balls a few times back and a few of the machines were just running horrible. As long as Paula is in charge, that place will get run into the ground. She has zero respect for league bowlers. She is just a micro managing, authoritarian style, insecure leader, who is intimidated by anyone who knows more than her, which is essentially anyone with any experience in the bowling industry. Below is a photo of the Fort Benning Youth Bowling League back when youth bowling and competitive bowling mattered to the people at Fort Benning. ...
Read morePrices are really confusing, but at least on certain days they can be cheap as half to $1.50 a game. The food, depressing so if you’re just looking to spend money and get drunk this is a spot to go too. Staff are OK, you either find them complaining out back (having to yell for services so they hear you) or they’re dancing at the front desk not where they’re suppose to be stationed. Floors are always sticky, bowling balls are poorly managed, sitting and table arrangement are very close and personal so if your assigned to a table with rowdy people it’s hard to request for a new spot, but overall your looking for cheap this is a spot to go. Lol. Sadly this is the one of the two bowling centers to play on post and it’s open on Sundays. DON’T LET THEIR PICTURES OF THEIR FOOD FOOL YOU!! They look tasteful, but you WILL be disappointed when you receive the food. They don’t look at all alike...
Read moreGreat environment & clean. Sad to say we were targeted about wearing our masks while we’re not eating or drinking while there is at least 10 or more other people in here not wearing masks. Reminder we are drinking & eating so you expect us to pull our mask up after EVERY sip & bite? As there is 2 people playing pool with no mask as well as countless others. We were first confronted by the cashier then someone else. Without taking photos without peoples permission to show how many people are not wearing their masks. Sad to say that the rudeness & targeting ruined the rest of the experience here!...
