I bought a crabapple tree 4 years ago from them. It still has the tag on it saying it is a prairie fire, but when you Google pictures of it, that's not exactly what it looks like. The scientific name is not on the tag. It blossoms in blossoms in early May. It has red and green leaves. But when I bought it, there were branches growing directly out of the soil around the trunk of the tree. I didn't know what they were, so I left it. Now I have a larger tree with about 5 or 6 trunks surrounding and overgrowing the tree I originally bought. I went to cut down the trunks of the larger tree, but upon close inspection, it looks so similar that it might be another species of crabapple tree that might blossom at a later time. I don't know. It has never blossomed. It has no buds on it yet, and here we are in mid-May on a 4 year old tree. The combination of the two trees, the one in the center with dark red flowers, and the tree with bright green leaves engulfing it in my front yard is ugly, and I wish I never got myself into this problem. I live on a main road, and my intention was to beautify my neighborhood with a beautiful flowering tree. I paid $150 for the tree 4 years ago. I am left with no information and a feeling like a mistake was made at the nursery. I did call and speak with a manager a couple years ago. He was nice enough, but cannot solve my problem. I'm stuck with this issue forever until I see the house or the trees die, or I...
Read moreWe have purchased multiple trees and shrubs, about $2k per year, including $1k in the past month. Stopped in for end of season sales, found a deer statue that is normally $95 for half off. It had marks and scrapes which we could fix up. Due to the weight had to lift from the base. Got it home and found the had was detached and broken. Returned the next day to return it, and after waiting in line for 10 minutes was told it's a final sale. I explained we purchase weekly and the damage was not apparent. With others behind us we were told it's final, and move on as others were in line. I quietly stated the head was detached and it was not apparent, we were dismissed and told to move on. I reached out to corporate over a few days with a few messages, no response. After being embarrassed in line, and lack of multiple responses I am placing this review. We will now take our business elsewhere, over $42. They apparently are prioritizing their business to commercial operations, at the expense of local gardeners. ...
Read moreI have been getting my shrubs and perrenials at the Chelmsford location over the past 3 years since I located this nursery. I live close to Boston and have become disappointed with the options close to me. The Hopkinton location is not as Chelmsford. The staff is not helpful and their plants are not as well maintained as Chelmsford. I was at both locations yesterday and during spring and fall last year. I will continue to use on Chelmsford going forward. Joe, provided assistance with his knowledge of plants and care requirements. I was there for about 2 hours looking for ground covers and perrenials and he helped with getting my soil before closing. It's a pleasure shopping there. I will never shop anywhere else for my outdoor landscape. Their prices are excellent. When you buy outdoor plants, it's important that they are healthy and have been properly maintained. I have shopped at a variety of nurseries and big box stores over the years. Weston Nurseries, especially Chelmsford does it right. Why shop...
