Beware that Carey's Furniture only has a 48 hour return window! I had our new Lazboy chair delivered and unfortunately, I didn't open the box and bring it in the house until the weekend which was four days later. The quality of Lazboy has diminished greatly over the past several years and I was not happy with my "leather" chair. (I'll be surprised if the "leather" doesn't crack and wear off.) When I asked to return or exchange it I was told the window of time had passed to do so. Even though the chair was NOT a special order, they had it IN STOCK! I explained to Chad that I like to shop local rather than taking the best price at the big box stores and I was disappointed with how I was being treated. Especially since I had bought from him in the past. He didn't care one bit if I was satisfied or if I ever return to his business. Do yourself a favor go to Spencer, Sioux City, or Carroll...they all have furniture stores that sell the same brands with a 30 day return window. If you don't care about supporting local, just as well head to Nebraska Furniture Mart, best prices and they too give you 30 days to decide if you like...

When I called in to check the status of my order, the woman at the store appeared to be very bothered that I did. I donât believe I got her name. I wanted to be sure that my item was going to be delivered since it was taking a lot longer than expected and I was less than satisfied with her snarky behavior. She appeared to very agitated, and I would recommend that she undergoes some type of re-training, or maybe take a class so that she can develop some customer service skills because this is not how she should communicate with a customer that chose to shop at her store. Kelly helped me and did so in the most knowledgeable, professional, and personable way. She was fantastic!! She had a very keen sense of what was important to my situation, communicated very effectively, and skillfully accommodated every quirky thing about my unique circumstances. She really was amazing!
