My central heat and air unit went out in the beginning of November 2020. I called Newton's in Cherryvale, Ks and scheduled an appointment. Not one phone call, but several phone calls just trying to get anyone to show up and help with the problem I was having. When a repairman showed up about a week later. I mean, a week later in a southeastern Kansas November. It gets cold here. He opened the unit, checked it out and then disappeared and then just leaves my property. Who knows where he went. About an hour later he comes back and tells me the motor just needed a cleaning and he tells me he can slap it back together in no time and it will be fixed. No problem, sounds great. He comes to my front door and says the unit is fixed and his boss Joe told him to go to a different job. The repairman leaves and I go flip on my central heat and air unit. I turn it on and it doesn't make a sound. Nothing. No air flow, and no hot or cold air. Nothing. The repairman never bothered to check and see if the unit even worked. He never tried kicking the unit on, to test it. Wow, ridiculous. Thanks Joe! I go back through the fun process of trying to get ahold of Joe. Another full week to just get Joe on the phone. We are now halfway through November and it's only getting colder. Personally I've never had to call any repair service so much to come and actually fix a problem. Probably one of the first companies I've had to track down, and physically find them to accept my money. I'm a small town guy trying to spend my money, with a small town business during a pandemic. When the job was finally complete I get slapped with a bill that's over a $1000 and I can't believe the experience I've endured. No problem Joe, I will make sure I never use your services or any of your hardware stores again. This experience was unacceptable and ridiculous. Your neanderthal customer service skills need a touch up. Hopefully no one else in our local area has to deal with...

Read moreWent in for help to fix a rear view mirror and the gentleman not only showed me that I only needed to affix a screw to repair it; he came out to my vehicle, screwed in the hardware, and charged me nothing for the repair. Additionally, he invited us back for ice cream and snacks anytime. That’s what you call service! Thank...
