Ace Van & Storage — Local services in Cheshire

Update - Weeks after this awful move, I continue to find that items are missing and the cost of replacement only adds to the frustration and annoyance. Ace's response is basically there is nothing they can do. My fault for not inventorying each and every box that came off the truck; for not having pictures of the contents of each box. Previous review - Not at all happy with Ace. I contracted with Ace because of their reviews. I was adamant that I wanted their specific personnel to do the move and they agreed. However, several days before the move, I was informed the movers were McLaughlin Van Lines from New Hampshire - a company I knew nothing about. The mover was courteous, but he informed me he was NOT responsible for any damage that might occur to my belongings. Virtually the first item he touched he ripped off the knobs to an antique dresser. His sole concern was to pack the trailer as tight as possible, as a result he removed the feet from every piece of furniture, he disassembled whatever he could and jammed his truck tight. Upon delivery, virtually every piece of furniture and our bikes were scratched, in addition several boxes were lost/not delivered, and the contents of one box was entirely broken. Moving is very stressful and Ace fulfilled my fears and only added to the stress. I would not recommend Ace...

We were very happy with the service provided bt this moving company. We contracted with United Van's and Francisco with Ave Van and storage recieved the job. As we met the packers for our job they did a walk through and then started bringing items out. They were having fun as we could here them laughing at different points but where very efficient and knew what each ones job was. Addison, Melvin, and Jonathan did the packing up. When the truck arrived in Virginia it was a Sunday afternoon, Francisco, Melvin, and Wilson took the direction of where items were going. Again they each new the assignment and just started the process of unloading and putting things back together. This company with there crew were great to deal with. We were nervous about how this process would go as we have never used movers before and have heard the horror stories, but our experience was very positive and we felt appropriate care and communication were applied to us and our belongings. Ace Van & Storage is quality and professionalism at its best! I got several quotes for moving companies before my out of state move. All were pretty much around the same price give or take a few hundred dollars. What made me choose Ace Van is the fact that Tom came out and took physical inventory of our items. Because of this, there were no surprise increases in price- the quote he gave us was exactly what they charged to the penny!! On top of that, his team came exactly when they said both times for pick-up and delivery. There were no delays. All three men were friendly and professional, and all our items were carefully wrapped and well taken care of. They literally rolled out the red carpet so the floors didn’t get dirty or damaged. No walls were nicked and all the furniture and items were as they were before they moved them. We had very heavy items from our oversized two car garage as well.
