6/30/2025: Took delivery of the dream car last Friday from Richard Chevy.--a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV with only 7400 miles. Had spoken with Dave McKenna in sales to describe the desired vehicle, including color (white), trim level (premier) and mileage (low). Because these are very popular vehicles not made since 2023, I had reconciled myself with needing to be flexible. Not with Dave McKenna--a few weeks after our original conversation, he called me to tell me that he had my car. Perfect in every way. Dave is a consummate professional who listens to the customer and then works super hard to locate the exact vehicle, whether new or used. It is a rare salesperson who will go the distance that Dave will go to ensure a satisfied customer, on vehicle match, price and communication--Dave calls, texts and emails even on his day off!! What a great experience! The entire team at Richard Chevy is super efficient, pleasant, low pressure and, most importantly, all about the customer every time. Sales (Dave McKenna), Finance Manager (Angel Ramos), Service (Chris van Duzer), Courtesy Transportation (Tony Hayes)--this is the dream team of any person's vehicular needs, whether it be a 3500 dually or an EV like mine, this dealership is the best--honest, transparent and determined to make you a happy customer. I will never buy a car anywhere else. 3/1/2024: Returned to Chris Vanduzer at Richard Chevy for a service issue with my 2017 Bolt. So often these days, the customer hears "we can't replicate the problem." Not Chris. He took the time to deeply explore the problem I was experiencing and identified the issue, which 99.9% of other dealerships never would have done. Now, thanks to Chris and the extraordinary service team at Richard Chevy, my Bolt is back online and better than ever. Chris Vanduzer is not your everyday service manager. He truly cares about his customers, proactively keeping in touch throughout the process, listening carefully to concerns and doing everything he can to help get the car back on the road safely and cost-effectively. I wish every dealership had a service manager like Chris, but that will not happen because he is a one of a kind! Richard Chevy is the ONLY dealership I will use to service my 2017 Bolt because they are better than all the rest. The Richard Chevrolet service team, led by Chris Vanduzer, was superb to work with on the recent repair of my 2017 Chevrolet Bolt, originally purchased new from Richard Chevrolet. Chris was incredibly helpful and thorough, the quintessential quarterback as my car went through major service. He managed the warranty process, the rental car process, communicated with me consistently on timing and was always available to help and offer guidance. As long as Chris Vanduzer is there, I will never go anywhere else to have my Bolt serviced than Richard Chevrolet. The facility is state-of-the-art and they have several certified EV service technicians on the service team. After Chris finished with my car, it is "as new" mechanically, and, thanks to him, I am looking forward to many more years of driving the Bolt. Thank you, Chris Vanduzer, and the entire Richard...
Read moreWell, for starters, my son bought an Alfa Romeo from Richard’s Chevrolet. They made the car look amazing and fixed all the things that they said they would and more. Here we are, a year later, right before a major thunderstorm, and my son's sunroof won't close. We called and were hoping the warranty would allow us to go to ALFA itself, but it didn’t. That wasn’t a problem if it could get fixed. They took the car a few days before it was due, helping us prevent water damage, which was nice. Thank you all for that! Now for the bad first, my son had to use my daughter's car for that weekend until Richard’s Chevrolet could evaluate and order the parts FYI. The warranty that he paid over 5,000 for only covers a rental for the time the car is being fixed not for waiting for the parts oh and it only covers up to 5 days. So, hello Tuesday, the parts were being ordered, and we still couldn’t get a rental cause they didn’t verify it with the warranty company. I was told that they would get right on it and that it wouldn’t be available until Wednesday. Well, Wednesday is here, and they finally called and stated that they had a vehicle for him to use. Thank heavens a family member allowed him to use their vehicle till one was available. Well, 5 days went by, and we were advised the vehicle needed to be returned and that the ALFA his car was still not available and the original person who was working on the car was out on leave. Which has nothing to do with us, may I add. Well, it's been well over a week and to get ahold of anyone who worked there was a nightmare. DON the mechanic that messaged me that took over for the first mechanic was absolutely amazing texted me stating that he was on vacation that the car was in good hands and to get ahold of that person once again a nightmare. FINALLY, good news came. We were given a complimentary car after some time and were told that the job was a tedious job and that they promise that they are working their hardest to get the job done. Don must have been back from vacation. This man went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle had no leaks. Answer all text and phone calls even on his vacation. He also sent a video of a 360* view of the vehicle, done and ready for pickup. I just want to thank you, Don, and whoever allowed us to have the complimentary vehicle for the remainder of the time. I have to say DON is a star employee and should definitely be the man handling the clientele. THANKS...
Read moreI recently purchased a used vehicle from Richard Chevrolet, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. The sales process involved the usual high-pressure, predatory tactics many dealerships are known for, but I moved forward in good faith assuming the vehicle had been properly inspected and was in solid condition.
However, soon after the purchase, I noticed the car shaking at highway speeds. I brought it to a different dealership for inspection and was informed that the rear rim was bent, the same wheel had a patched tire, and the TPMS sensor was faulty—all issues that were not disclosed to me at the time of purchase.
I contacted Richard Chevrolet and was instructed to bring the vehicle in for inspection. Hoping they would take responsibility for at least one of the issues or offer partial reimbursement, I took time off work to accommodate the appointment. The icing on the cake was that after inspection, they confirmed everything the other dealership had already diagnosed, only to tell me, "There’s nothing we can do about it.". Complete waste of my time on top of refusing to do anything about these issues.
The most frustrating part was being told that they "don’t check for something like a tire patch" as part of their vehicle inspection. Any reputable dealership should perform a full inspection of a used vehicle prior to selling it, especially for safety-related issues like tires, rims, and sensors.
Not only did Richard Chevrolet sell me a vehicle with pre-existing issues that should have been disclosed or addressed, but they also wasted my time and money by failing to take any responsibility after the fact. This experience has been disappointing from start to finish, and I cannot recommend this dealership based on how poorly this situation...
